| Tex slowly peeked
around the doorway and peered sheepishly around the Brush Me Beautiful
Boutique. He had never been comfortable in these girly places where
you come to get all prettified.
"TEX!" cried Curly
Locks excitedly. "WELLLLcome, my DEEEEEar!" He nearly fell over backwards
at this gregarious greeting. She changed to her professional tone
and continued, "Let me guess -- you are looking for a present for that
someone special!"
Tex fumbled for words.
"Well, uh, yeah, I am . . . what do you suggest? I don't know where to
start."
"Were you ever like
this when you were shopping for me?" laughed Fizzy playfully, emerging
from a dressing room. Tex turned an interesting shade of red.
Curly Locks ignored
her and presented Tex with a shimmering string of pearls. "I've been
saving these out because I knew you'd be by here." she confided in him.
"That star sapphire she wears is lovely, but it is all wrong for her.
Not at all her color."
Tex smiled as he pictured
the beautiful pearls on Magic Star. "I'll take them!"
