Max, also known as X5-452 was left behind when her brothers and sisters escaped in 2009 from Wyoming. Trying desperately to keep alive when the whole base turned on her she eventually won a place at the elite Special Ops where she met her new Family but she has never forgotten her original family and hopes to be reunited with them someday. |

Alec was Commanding Officer of Unit 8 at Seattle when he was promoted to Special Ops. He still has a special relationship with members of his Unit, and has made firm friends with the new group. He is a first class soldier but recently had a crisis of faith on his last mission which went sideways. He has a special interest in Max. |

Sunny is a bright, perky soldier who was held back by her C.O in Wyoming. despite this she made Special Ops and has formed several strong relationships with her new Unit. Admires Max and is good friends with Biggs. Not always as sunny as she makes out. |

Zan was the most desirable in his unit in Wyoming that he had to hide whenever the girls went into heat. He was glad to make Special Ops. He matches Max in sense of humor and wants more than the brotherly role that she has cast him into even though he seems to be her protector on more than one occasion. |

|
Carrot was taken from the C.O post at Wyoming for his participation in a heat episode which led to the attack on a Trainer. He was still allowed to be a part of Special Ops and has settled down with his new unit, even enjoying himself. he has recently started to mate with Tara even though there are a few problems . |

|
Pix has a mischievous streak that appeals to everyone and likes to get into trouble. He made Special Ops and decided to continue the trend, wanting to be the first in punishment. He has set his sights on Biggs's sister Chance as his partner but will things be as easy as that? |

|
Biggs didnt make Special Ops like his best friend and C.O Alec but he is still close friends with him making sure that he stays close by getting along with the newly formed Special Ops. He is such a ladies man and loves the attention from women. He sees Chance as his sister and is very overprotective. |

Chance is adorably accident prone which brings out the protective side of her Unit, especially Biggs and Alec. Has the same problems sleeping as Max does which has helped her to get close to Max. Quite shy for an X-series due to all the time she has spent in solitary because of her clumsyness it takes a while fior her to come out of her shell. She has become attatched to Pix and enjoys his attentions. |

Tara is the field medic. She was transferred from Unit 5 to her current station in Unit 8. The reasons are unknown. she is the best on her field and enjoys her work including going on missions with Special Ops. She has accepted Carrot as her mate...which came as a surprise. |

Aiden is also chosen as aide thanks to his level headedness and ability to follow orders. His seriousness makes him a good choice for confidant but he has a cheeky sense of humor. Especially susceptable to females in heat. |

Anna has a hot temper and is quick to defend herself and her new unit- Special Ops. Seems to get along the best with Feen and enjoys the more physical aspects of being a soldier. Was paired with B.J in Sex Ed. |

Emma has a DNA mix that only allows her to get one nights sleep in four but is nevertheless perky and upbeat. She is from the same facility as Anna and a welcome part of Special Ops. She was the first to apologise to Max, making her a humble person and a loyal friend. |

|
Coco is an outspoken, witty and fiercly loyal member of Special Ops. Originally from Seattle but not Alec's unit she has made her home in Special Ops. Very Athletic and enjoys gymnastics, enabling her to be versatile in missions. She was penalised during one mission when she refused the advances of her target and instead broke his elbow and two ribs. Likes casino's. |

Mets is from the same facility as Anna but has made his home in Special ops. Was shot in the mission in the jungle and almost died from his injuries only to be revived by Max. He is a helper to Tara as second field med because Max didn't want the job. Has a keenness for Casino's like Coco. |

|
B.J was paired with Anna during the Sex Ed course although he wasn't pleased with the pairing possibly because they are from the same facility. He has a unique section of DNA which allows him only one nights sleep in Four yet despite this is a very active member of Special Ops. |

Dek has the same kind of DNA as Max, making him sleep as infrequently as she does. Works as a field med aide and is great at removing bullets. Has a very sarcastic sense of humor and was glad to stay in Special Ops with Alec who was his C.O. Gets on well with Max and Carrot. |

Flex was first paired with Sunny as a fighting partner and matches her in speed and ability but does better at tactics. Very friendly with everyone and has an easy smile. Likes Max a lot and fights fiercly against her former unit. He loves to tease her and flirt, knowing that it irritates Alec who he sees as a friend. He does well having been assigned to Special Ops. |

Cece was in Alec's original Unit, Unit 8 and still sees him as her C.O. She is a quiet but happy member of the Unit who can be overlooked since she doesnt put herself forwards. Quite content to follow Alec anywhere she has a bit of a crush on him. |

|
Drew was one of only two females that was assigned to Special Ops from Seattle. She is strong and athletic, willing to get her hands dirty and refuses to take crap from anyone. Has a soft spot for Metz but refuses to tell him. |

Feen is the outspoken redhead from Unit 8 of Seattle, used to Alec's behaviour she thinks nothing of flirting with him. She has plenty of opinions and will make them known- never backing down from a challenge. She thinks of herself as matchmaker and likes to interfere. Surprisingly she is a friend of the shy girl Chance. |

Steve is a good friend of Alec and Biggs and has stuck with them both even though Alec has moved on to Special Ops. Is the strong but silent type. Excels in Communication and spends most time in missions in the van monitoring radio and communications. His twin- Skye- is in the same unit but surprisingly for Manticore turned out to be a girl. |

Skye is Steve's twin due to some unexplained gene splicing which meant she was a girl instead of a guy. Excels in Communications like Steve but is very independant and can be a bit of a bitch. |

Hailed as a brainiac Techie is the mathematical genious and high IQ but his scores were let down by his lack of speed which menat that he didn't make it into Special Ops, he is not bitter though, preferring a good book to training. Very uncomfortable around girls. |
