| Max was the baby of the group and it was for fear of her being dissected that they tried to escape in 09. Ironically she was the only one who didn't make it out, she was recaptured and spent the next few years being hounded by the whole complex until she managed to secure herself a place among the elite at Seattle. She has made firm friends with most of her unit although feels isolated at times because of her 09er reputation. Very much a private person who keeps her troubles to herself she is trying to open up to Alec who she is falling for. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Zack was the groups C.O and had quite a reputation even before he escaped. He doesnt have a permanent address, but does like Canada. Has taken it upon himself to take care of the rest of the 09ers whether they want him to or not. Zack is very serious and tense and more often than not reverts back to his Manticore training to survive and keep hidden. Has not-so brotherly feelings for Max even though he believes her to be dead. When he realises that she's alive he'll move heaven and earth to get her back. Knows who is responsible for his brother Seth's death but is willing to put that aside... for now. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Ben is the most complex of all of them. A natural born storyteller he made up fantastical stories to explain things that no one would. He made a guardian Angel for the 09ers to pray to as Children called the Blue Lady as one of his stories.These took on a twisted meaning after a visit to Psy-Ops and Ben spiralled into self hatred after the escape. This manifested in ritual murder and he was on the verge of being captured by Lydecker when he was saved by his real guardian angel- Max. He leads the others to her rescue but are his intentions really brotherly? His twin is Alec. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Krit is the closest thing to a real brother that Max has and he misses his sister desperately. Has a very dry and quirky sense of humour that not everyone appreciates. Loves his explosives. His relationship with Syl is more than friendly, although we aren't sure how far he has taken it- he did beat up her boyfriend who cheated in her. Lives in New York and works in a nursery. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Syl is the weapons expert of the group and, much to Zacks annoyance, has a very commanding presence. Lives in Texas working as a teacher and seems to have a bad run of luck with men as one turned out to be gay and one tried to cheat on her. Now she has a sweet relationship with Krit. Syl was horrified to realise that Max was still in Manticore and rushed to get her out. Was shot in the mission to save her baby sister. | Tinga is the mommy of the group. She lives in Portland, works in a bakery and has a son called Chase who is playing in the school play but she puts that aside when she realises that Max is still at Manticore. Teasing the others gives her a more rounded outlook and she sometimes acts like a child. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Jondy was Max's best friend, sharing the same Shark DNA, and watched her go under the ice. Believing her to be dead, she is appalled to hear that Max was recaptured. A smoker who works in a bar in San Fransisco Jondy is very outspoken and wild. With flaming red hair, a quick temper and a witty rejoinder for everything she is a far cry from the quiet girl at Manticore. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Zane is good natured and hasn't let Manticore rule his life. He is a mechanic, excelling in diagnostics and repair. He has a large German shepard dog that his land lady will only feed for a few days but he forsakes the mutt when Max is in trouble. He jumps at the chance to get his baby sister out of Manticore. He takes second point to Zack- but thinks his big brother needs to relax! |

| Jace is probably the most soldierly out of them all, taking to heart Zack's words about tactical exposure. She seems to crave his approval and possibly has a crush on him. Almost decided to stay at Manticore but broke out at the last moment with Zack. Has a tacky sense of humour and is far too serious. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Ash is a health freak who hates Jondy's smoking. He was the first to write Max off as brainwashed which annoyed Zack, but does want his sister back. Lives in Iowa where he is a farm hand. Has a very disillusioned, almost cynical point of view and always looks at the downside first. Enjoys Ben's company though and isn't scared by his tendencies... possible worry. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| After living in Las Vegas as a waitress Brin was close to being captured by Lydecker and went into hiding, but she was so weak from advanced Progeria that she didnt make it. Unwilling to hand her over to Lydecker Zack was forced to watch her die. X5- 734 is now deceased. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Seth was a regular James Dean, full of sullen attitude and quiet contempt for those not in his league- which was pretty much everyone. He kept everyone at arms length and missed his brothers and sisters. he loved to antagonoze Zack as a child and his favourite way was by taking Max away for a while. he loved his baby sister. He hooked up with Eyes Only to help hiim with his seizures but ended up helping Eyes Only in exchange for taking down Manticore a deal that never materialised. He was killed on an Eyes Only mission which went sideways when Lydecker turned up. Although they want retribution, his family will work with Eyes Only for while. X5-252 is now deceased. |

| Bulli was the C.O of Unit 6 in Wyoming- the one that Max was assigned to. He took the lead in torturing her for being an 09er and made her life hell. Arrogant and egotistical he is a bully. |

| Airy is a flirtacious airhead who seems to be quite promisicuous and enjoys the attention that she gets from men. very bitchy and outspoken she rubs people up the wrong way. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Simper has always had special feelings for Bulli and follows him in taunting and torturing Max. Using her attractiveness as a weapon she is every bit as dangerous as she is malicious. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
