Eyes on Me / Final Fantasy VIII

Well, for all you PC game addicts out there, you'll know that "Eyes on Me" is the theme tune to the popular computer game, Final Fantasy (and in particular FF VIII). Lots of people have come to know Faye through this song (most of my friends came to know Faye because she sang the theme tune to Final Fantasy 8...whereas I knew about Final Fantasy 8 through the fact that Faye sang the theme tune to it...funny, isn't it?) Well, either way, whether it's the fact that Faye has gained more fans through the song, or whether final fantasy producers have gained more cash through fayenatic buyers...the fact is that the song "Eyes on Me" was and is a big hit! hehe! Faye rocks!
Let's be honest....I am no games player - I went to a friend's house once to play the game (because I knew Faye had sang the theme tune to it....) and had no luck.....I just can't seem to complete the damn game! However, with a little help from a very mutual friend (the games addict, Johan....) I now know the ending to the game (not that it really interests me the slightest....I just want to know cos Faye sings the theme tune to the game....). So, below, is a very brief description of the ending..... If, like me, you still haven't completed the game then you can read below and pretend to your friends that you completed the game yourself..... (again, I didn't ask Johan for the ending to the game because I wanted to show off in front of my friends...I just wanted to know cos Faye sings the theme tune to the game.....) Well...here goes.... Near the end you'll enter a time-contraction, caused by the evil witch Ultimecia, because she's trying to take over the world or something. They fight through a fortress full of monsters, and in the end they manage to find and defeat Ultimecia. That was the last part of the game, then the ending is like this: our heroes try to get back to their own time, by thinking happy thoughts about where they want to be. Squall almost can't get back to his own time. Then we get a video clip, where Rhinoa finds Squall in the grass-area where they promised to meet each other (somewhere in the game you'll visit the kindergarten place where most of our heroes grew up, and Rinoa and Squall promises they will meet up there if they get separated.) Anyway, Squall is lying still, and Rinoa cries, but suddenly she looks down at Squall and lights up (Squall is not visible in the video clip at that point). Then that video clip ends, and we get the ending credits, but with a small video clip next to it. That video is made like a "home video" taken by Irvine, and we see all our heroes having fun in a party or something at the Garden, except for Rhinoa and Squall. In the end of that video clip we see Rhinoa, but then the camera "runs out of battery", and it goes black. But then we get a full video clip of Balamb Garden in the ocean from the outside, and we see Rhinoa next to Squall on the outside, and they kiss, and then it's the end! Happy ending!

Incidentally, if you are also a games addict like Johan then you can visit his personal homepage to learn more..... (obviously, as you can tell, I am no games player.... I only learned about Final Fantasy 8 because I knew Faye sang the theme tune to it....) Johan! (by the way it's in Norwegian...or whatever.... )
