 Separate Ways was the theme tune to Faye's Japanese soap opera which she made back in 2000, "Love from a Lie" (USOKI). The soap itself pretty much flopped and didn't quite live up to the expectations that the producers had intended it to have.... but nonetheless I enjoyed the film even though I spent hours watching the same VCD over and over again because I couldn't understand it... (my friend got me the soap in a collection of VCD'S from Malaysia, so the actual soap was in Japanese with Malay and Chinese subtitles.....)  Faye is really cute in the film if I may say so! - she plays a Chinese girl (obviously.....) who is illegally living in Japan to live out a dream of becoming a fashion designer..... (watch it to find out more....) I love this song, Separate Ways - Faye shows off her many language skills by performing this song in Japanese (with bits of English stuck in it which don't make much sense....). This is an EP (don't know why but Separate Ways was never included in any of Faye's later album collections.....perhaps Faye wasn't too pleased with the song...don't know) which also includes the theme tune to Final Fantasy VIII, "Eyes On Me".
