| Tuesday 13/02/01: Although feeling a bit tired, and coming off a record running volume week Ben took to the track. In a gun Canberra field on the AIS track, Ben ran a massive 15sec PB, to take his 3km time down to 8:39.9. He was absolutely rapped, not expecting it at all |

| Sunday 25/02/01: After a forced easy week with Achilles trouble, Ben finally gets some decent running in with 2hrs in the terrain. Much of the week was spent pool running at the AIS. On Thursday Ben flies to Melbourne to take in the altheletics Grand Prix before heading down to Tasmania for the NAtional Senior Training Camp. The season opneer, in the form of a media race will be held in Tassie before the Qantas National Orienteering League starts up March 10 |
| Tuesday 27/02/01: Tonight Ben, along with housemate and trainig partner Gareth, met with leading ACTAS Sports Psychologist Gaylen Clews, and ACTAS Orienteering Skills coach Jase McCrae. The meeting was used to develop a mental training plan for the foseeable future. Creative ideas from Gaylene and Jase will utilise armchair training as well as skills training in the forest to achieve goals which should see strong improvements over the coming months |
| Wednesday 28/02/01: ACTAS physiologists tested Ben on a treadmill today taking oxygen and blood samples, results and details of the test will be posted when they become available |
