| Below is a typical yearly budget for an orienteer, it is based on Ben's 2000 expenses. It includes all Orienteering related costs and reaches a grand total of $14,347.50! |
| Note: The cost includes the value of the servicing supplied by the ACT Academy of Sport, which is of course, not paid by the athlete. Other institutions, such as the Orienteering Federation of Australia and State Associations also contribute to these costs. The vast majority of the expenses however remains the responsibilty of individual athletes. |
