Ah,
it was a long wait but it was worth it! The Fast Newsdesk has finally
received vinyl and CD versions of THE BEST OF THE FAST 1976-1984
and they look and sound fantastic. The CD and vinyl 
differ
in track listings, making both formats a must for music fans. The
vinyl, issued on extra thick 220 gram vinyl, includes the following tracks:
Boys Will Be Boys, Hawaii, Jack is a Jock, It's Like Love, Comic Books,
Kids Just Wanna Dance 1979, Love Me Like A Locomotive, B Movies, Cars Crash,
Black Leather Jacket, Ride on the Wild Side, Jaguar in the Jungle, Skinny
Kids and Bigger Bullies, Moontan, Unisex Haircut, and Man's Favorite Sport.
The cover is wonderfully reminiscent of the impossible to find 2nd FAST
LP 'Leather Boys From The Asphalt Jungle.' The CD includes the following tracks: Boys Will Be Boys, Hawaii, Jack

A new compilation of vintage Fast recordings is in the works at Munster Records, home of other great re-releases by The Only Ones, The Heartbreakers, Modern Lovers, Ben Vaughn, The Stooges, and MC5 among others. This great release will be available on vinyl as well as CD, with possible 45's to come! The following ultra-rare Fast songs (some NEVER released in any form) might now be available on CD: The Jet Set, Cowboys and Indians, The Statue of Liberty, Siamese Twins, Wow Pow Bash Crash, and Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart. Also, a startling new version of Boys Will Be Boys by Paul Zone has been completed.

Get it while you can, the fine folks at the Canadian label Bullseye Records are still offering their quinessential collection of Fast classics! It is highly recommended that you get this compilation now, because future Fast releases will not contain all of the material featured on the Bullseye release.
