Green dhal

Ingredients

Tuvar dal- 1 cup
Salt to taste
Oil- 1 tbsp
Few curry leaves
Juice of 1 lime
For grinding masala
Coriander leaves- 1 cup
Coconut, grated- � cup
Garlic- 6 to 8 cloves
Green chilies- 5
Ginger- 1�

Method

1. Wash tuvar dal and pressure cook with enough water.
2. Beat with an egg beater to break all grains.
3. Heat oil, add curry leaves and after few seconds add cooked dal and enough water. Boil, add salt, lime juice and masala paste.
4. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes and serve hot with rice or roti.
