| Gobi kofta Ingredients Cauliflower-1/4 kg,grated Green chillies-2, chopped Flour-1/2 cup Potato-1, large Onions-2 Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp Tomatoes-2 Turmeric pd-1/2 tsp Garam masala pd-1/2 tsp Coriander pd-1/2 tsp Chilli pd-1/2 tsp Coriander leaves-3 tbsp Cashewnut paste-1 tbsp Salt- to taste Oil- for deep frying Oil- 3 tbsp Method 1.To the grated cauliflower, add salt,chilli pd & finely chopped green chillies.Dry roast this mixture in a kadai to remove excess moisture. Keep aside & cool. Add 1 tbsp coriander leaves.This is the filling for kofta. 2.Boil,peel & mash the potato.Add salt & flour to this.Divide the potato mixture into small portion.Flatten each ball & put a little filling on it,roll into a ball again to cover the filling completly.Deep fry till golden brown.You can coat this ball in egg & bread crumbs to avoid excessive oil penetration into the kofta while deep frying it. 3.Make a fine paste of onions.Puree the tomatoes. 4.Heat oil & fry onion paste in it till golden brown.Add ginger-garlic paste & fry till raw smell dissappears. 5.Add tomato puree & fry till oil separates out. 6.Add chilli pd,turmeric pd,coriander pd & salt. Add a cup of water & simmer it for 5 min. 7.Add cashewnut paste & garam masla pd.Fry well 8.Add fried gobi kofta & heat for few seconds.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves & serve hot with roti. |
