Classic bread pudding

Ingredients

Milk-4 cups
Sated butter-150 g
Egg-6
Sugar pd-250 g
Vanilla essence-2 tsp
Bread slices with crust removed-200 g
Canned pineapple-5 slices
Ripe bananas-3
Condensed milk- � tin
Cornflour-1 tsp
Pineapple syrup- � cup

Method

1. Separate egg yolk & white. Beat egg yolks with powdered sugar till well blended & fluffy.
2. Boil milk & add salted butter to it. Now add this milk mixture slowly into the egg yolk mixture & blend well. Add vanilla essence.Cut the bread slices into small pieces and add to the egg mixture. Pour into a greased baking dish & bake at 180 deg C for 30 min.
3. Mix the condensed milk, corn flour & pineapple syrup and cook this mixture till thick. Cool & mix with chopped fruits.
4. Spread this fruit mixture over the baked pudding.
5. Beat egg white till stiff. Now add in 6 tsp of powdered sugar & beat till glossy. Spread over the fruit later & grill till the top layer is golden in color. Cool & serve.
