Maverick, USS- Christopher Class. In 2160, Capt Fitzgerald was commanding officer until the ship was turned over to UFP Starfleet with Capt Connor Dane taking over. The vessel is a veteran of the Earth-Romulan War. It is one of the first six starships in the UFP Starfleet. The Maverick�s first mission was to patrol the Romulan Neutral Zone. The vessel was sent to Oreias System to investigate an attack. In an attack, the ship was damaged with the USS Yellowjacket. (Starfleet: Year One)
Maxwell, USS- The Maxwell was part of the Federation Fleet that engaged the Borg at Wolf 359 in 2366. (STWT)
McMurray, USS- Oberth Class. In 2353, the McMurray brought Capt Holbrook, Cadet Janeway, and other members of an expedition to Diehr IV. The McMurray came back and picked them up. (VOY SAYR The Chance Factor)
McQuarrie, USS- Registry NCC-1948. McQuarrie Class. Class Vessel. In 2366, the McQuarrie was destroyed at the Battle of Wolf 359. (DS9 SNES The Echoes of Time) According to the one of the developers of the game, this class was the Phase II Enterprise that had the triangle secondary hull. The Class and vessel was named after Ralph McQuarrie, designer of the Phase II Enterprise and later Star Wars� Star Destroyer.
Mayflower, USS- Some cargo was from the Mayflower in 2371. (DS9 The Abandoned) The label appeared in DS9 TM and STE 2
Mediterranean, USS- Mediterranean Class. Class Vessel. (STE) Ens Andreas Nikolas previously served on the Mediterranean. (STA Gauntlet)
Mekong, USS- Registry NCC-72617. Danube Class. In 2369, Major Kira took the Mekong to Bajor. (DS9N Warped) In 2370, the Mekong was used in an arcade game played by Jake Sisko. (DS9 YR Highest Score) In 2371, Odo and Garak took the Mekong to go and find Enabrian Tain, but was captured by a Tal Shiar/Obsidian Order Fleet. (DS9 Improbable Cause) During the Battle of Omarion Nebula, Odo and Garak escaped in the Mekong, but the Mekong was destroyed by a Jem�hadar attack ship. The USS Defiant saved Odo and Garak. (DS9 The Die is Cast) Name mentioned. Class visually identified. Registry from STE.
Mekong, USS- Danube Class. Attached to Deep Space Nine. In 2372, Jadzia Dax, Worf, and Kor took the Mekong and went to a Hurq planet and found the Sword of Kahless. After the fighting it caused, the sword was cast out into space. (DS9 The Sword of Kahless) I believe that this Mekong was a mistake on the writer�s part, but I will use it as a new runabout.
Melbourne, USS- Excelsior Class. The Melbourne was retired. The vessel was used as a fire ship to help destroy the Borg Cube at Wolf 359 in 2366. The ship was destroyed. (DS9 Emissary Part 1) There was an Excelsior Class and a Nebula Variant USS Melbourne at Wolf 359. This is my explanation of two Melbournes in one place. It is just speculation about whether the Melbourne was a fire ship. The name and class was visually identified. The registry in my opinion is different from the Nebula Variant. All I get from the registry NCC-318x2

The ship was being readied to follow the stolen Enterprise, but repairs were still 18 hours away. (TNG 11001001) In 2366, the Melbourne was under the command of Adm JP Hanson. The Melbourne met with the USS Yosemite and Lt Elizabeth Shelby transferred as Adm Hanson�s aide. (NF NL All That Glisters) The Melbourne was part of the Federation Fleet that engaged the Borg at Wolf 359. The Melbourne was destroyed in the battle. (DS9 Emissary Part 1, FC N) Name and registry visually identified.
Memphis, USS- In 2337, Lt. Edward Jellico was assigned to the USS Memphis. In 2344, the bridge was heavily damaged and casualties were heavy. (SC: W)

Mercutio, USS- Intrepid Class. Registry NCC-75442. The Mercutio was built by Antares IV Fleet Yards. In 2378, the Mercutio was under the command of Capt Kaufman. (SCIII)
Meridan, USS- The Meridan was under the command of Capt Joshua Royal. (JR)
Merrimack, USS- Registry NCC-1715. The Merrimack was receiving orders from the Epsilon Nine Station in 2272. (TMP) Name and Registry was mentioned. The registry could be a Constitution I Class starship.
Merrimack, USS- Registry NCC-61827. Nebula Class. In 2366, the Merrimack transported Ambassador Sarek from Legara IV to Vulcan. (TNG Sarek, TOSN Federation) In 2368, the Merrimack transported Wesley Crusher back to Earth from the Enterprise. (TNG The Game) Comdr Rudman served on the Merrimack.
