    My name is Farooq Khan.  I am a Finance major at SUNY Old Westbury.  This is my second semester at Old Westbury.  I will be graduating in 2007 with a B. S in Finance.  Being a Finance Major I have not taken many computer courses.  This is my second course in computers.  the first one I took was in a Community College. The name of that course was Computers in Business. Intro to Web Technology and Network Management seems to be an interesting class. 

    This course seems to be challenging and I will learn a lot in this class.  In the beginning of the class there was an introduction about the course.  The Professor told us about the course material and how things will be evaluated in the class.  At first I didn't seem to pickup the class very well but as time passed I got more and more comfortable.  in today's lecture we learned that there shouldn't be any underscores in the email address.  This causes many problems in reading the address. Other things mentioned in the class lecture included storing a file on the computer.  The file must have a name before being stored on the computer.  besides this many general knowledge information was given by the professor. 

    Information on the web is not always correct and updated.  Learned about geocities.com and how useful it is.  Professor told us about the satellite  images on the websites and how to be careful.  Sharing technology online like in big firms.  have to be very careful.  information entered on the firms computers can be stored.  make sure not to use foul language.  Any color used online should be a multiple of 33. Before pasting a document open it in work pad or note pad.
