Farlander's HitmanForum Signatures & Avatars

I was still in a whimsical cartoony mood after using the Satanic Nemo set, so I decided to do a cartoon one of my own. I had this lovely picture of Elaine Marley from Monkey Island (my all-time favourite interactive game!), and decided she would make a good avatar. So I downloaded the MI font from Scummbar, added a coupla coconut trees and...

The only avatar/signature combo I have in my collection (so far) that wasn't made by me. It started with Jeremy and I joking over Yahoo Messenger about something I can't quite remember, and he said something mischievous, so I sort of 'hit him over the head' with my Nemo soft toy. He decided it would be fun to call me 'Fishie', and thought it would be hilarious to make me a Finding Nemo signature set.

Oh, and while I wasn't looking, he changed my Teflon Tron Fanclub title to 'Majorly Cute Clownfish', too.

Later, when he said, in response to a thread about my being a scary person, how could I possibly be scary, seeing as I was a cute fishie? I decided to modify the Nemo avatar so that it became Satanic Nemo:

I was beginning to tire of the whole 'Mad Scientist at large' joke, and wanted a signature/avatar set that was not too serious, yet at the same time was suitable for a forum discussing a game enabling people to live out their fantasies as paid assassins. And since I'm a big John Cusack fan and loved Grosse Pointe Blank, I decided throw a couple of his photographs together to make a set.

This was the signature I used for a placeholder while I was making the matching signature for the Grosse Pointe Blank sig.

I was bored, and I couldn't really be bothered to think of a decent theme. And furthermore, I was tired of serious avatars and signatures.

I made this signature/avatar set to celebrate my 1,000th post at HitmanForum. I'd originally intended to have the Millennium Falcon in my avatar and Han Solo in my sig, but then I decided that I liked Wedge Antilles far, far more.

I needed a new avatar but was hard-pressed for ideas, and so turned to my best mate Tycho for suggestions. Tycho said, 'Well, what about one that says Sticky died here?'(Sticky's our old stickman cartoon figure who had the tendency to come to er, sticky ends) So I did that, and I made Tycho a matching avatar&sig set that depicted Sticky being butchered. The signature I made because at the time my nickname at H2G2 was 'Farlander - diagnosed with hypergraphia'.

Well, here's me not being serious again! I wanted an avatar that would fuse both microbiology and the whole Hitman idea together.

I thought it would be cool to have Toby reflected in somebody's eyes. And having no stock photos, I decided to take a photo of my left eye and layer him atop my pupil.

My second (and highly pretentious) avatar. The stock picture's from the Hitman 2: Silent Assassin wallpaper. I added fire with Corel, but forgot to add effects!

Ok. It was my first signature/avatar set. I had no ideas. And I was lazy.
