BYLAWS OF
FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING OFFICIALS, INC.
- CENTRAL FLORIDA CHAPTER -



Article 1 - General

Name of Organization:  This organization shall be known as THE FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING OFFICIALS, INC., - CENTRAL FLORIDA CHAPTER.

This organization shall adopt the bylaws of the Florida Association of Occupational Licensing Officicals, Inc. Members of this organization shall be members of the Florida Association of Occupation Licensing Officials, Inc. and entitled to all rights and privileges thereof, including the right to vote at meetings of the Association.

Fiscal Year:  The fical year of this organization shall begin January 1, ending on December 31.

Rules of Order:  All meetings and affairs of this organization shall be conducted in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order, unless specifically provided for herein.


Article 2 - Purposes

The specific and primary purpose for which this organization is formed are to establish a professional association of municipal and county licensing officials who are responsible for the collection, directly or indirectly, of the occupational license taxes as provided for by the Florida Statutes, and, the members of this organization shall work for the betterment of the municipal and county governments they represent.

The general purposes of this organization are to encourage close cooperation and a sharing of information between the municipalities and counties represented on all matters relating directly or indirectly with occupational license taxes, work on common problems and each member shall present the solutions to their respective councils or commissions for consideration and implementation, and develop close liaison with local, state, and federal government agencies that will benefit the members, the community and the municipal and county governments represented.

Article 3 - Membership

The manner of admission shall consist of completing a membership application and paying annual dues which shall be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. All new members to this chapter shall be provided a copy of FAOLO (State) bylaws and Chapter bylaws by the Chapter Secretary.

A.    
Regular membership shall be limited to any municipal or county occupational licensing official or other person directly responsible for the collection of occupational license taxes in the Central Florida area and geographically close counties. All Regular members are eligible to hold office.

B.    
Associate membership shall be limited to all other municipal or county officials or representatives who are indirectly involved in the occupational licensing process in the Central Florida area and geographically close counties, but would derive benefits from such membership. All Associate members are eligible to hold office.

C.    
Honorary membership shall be limited to retired regular or associate members, or to those persons who endorse or support this organization's purpose in such a way that merits special recognition.
