It would be all too easy for me to stick with the Bengals as my pick here...but then we would have to refer to this as "The Stone Cold Loser of the Week". It looks too suspect to stay with the Bengals. The Bucs are coming off an emotional Monday Night win over the Worst Show on Turf...and, Akili is getting the nod! I'm not a big fan of Akili, but he's no Frerotte, if you smell what Clarkie is...cookin'. So, I'm going with a Philly victory over the expansion Texans as this week's lock!
Upset Special of the Week The Panthers (+7.5) over the Pack @ Lambeau
Nobody was more disappointed with the Patriots overtime victory against the Chiefs than Clarkie...being a Fins fan and all. But I had that as last week's upset special...DAMN, I hate when that happens!!! This week's special might even shock me if it actually happens...drumroll please...look for the Carolina Panthers to shock Brett and the rest of his green and yellow clad playmates. The Panthers are getting good production out of Lamar Smith...that's right, I said Lamar Smith...and the defense is pretty good, too. Brett has the offense on the move, but the defense absolutely sucks. Keep in mind that Ahman Green may sit this one out as well. Until somebody figures out that the Panthers aren't just pretending, I can get away with this as an upset special!
Game to Stay Away From The Pats (-3) @ the Chargers @ the Murph
Don't touch the Patriots at Chargers game with your daddy's week old underwear, ladies. The Chiefs almost exposed the Patriots as the punks that they are last week. Don't think Marty wasn't paying attention to the game film, either. Ladanian will get plenty of touches to help Brees from handing this one over to the opportunistic Patsies. I just hope Junior gets healthy and can play this one. Plus, September isn't over, yet, so the Chargers can still be considered an NFL-caliber football team! The Patsies play in Miami next week, too. Will they be looking ahead to this clash of AFC East brethren?

If you've got a Saint on your roster, dust him off and send him out there this week. Those Lions give up lots of points and plenty of yards. There will be lots to go around, so make sure to get your share!!!
Fred Taylor is going to be licking his chops so much this week in anticipation of running against the Jets defense - which is yielding more yards through it's interior than a hooker in the French Quarter lets Johns into her interior...and posterior sometimes (or so Uncle Robs tells me). Anyway, if Freddy doesn't lick his lips to the point of blistering them...which would require a trip to the disabled list...you can expect plenty of production from him this week.
