Week 3
Stone Cold Lock             The Falcons (-7) over the Bengals

Last week was frustrating for Clarkie...watching the Titans blow a game to the 'Pokes.  Needless-to-say, I'm outta my death pool already!  This week will be different.  I'm betting on the Bungles to be the Bungles.  Altanta will walk away with an easy win this weekend.  Keep in mind, however, that Corey Dillon is a gamer and WILL show up on Sunday.  He'll be the only Bengal having a good day, though.  Falcons 24, Bengals 10.

Upset Special of the Week    The Chiefs (+9) over the Patriots

Clarkie is 2-0 in this department.  First the Broncs over the Rams, then the Bills over the Vikes.  What's he got in store this week?  How 'bout those Dick Vermeil lead Kansas City Chiefs going into New England and dealing the Patsies their first loss in twelve tries?  You heard it here first, folks.  They gotta lose at some point this year.  Why not have it be after a thumping of the division rival New York Jets, 44-7?  This team is starting to think they're good and will falter badly at home in week#3!  Chiefs 24, Patsies 16.

Game to Stay Away From       The Bears (-1) vs. The Saints

New Orleans @ Chicago has the potential to be a defensive, turnover struggle.  The Saints (formerly the Aints) have looked very impressive the past two weeks beating the Bucs and Pack.  Da Bears, well, they're Da Bears. And they find ways to grasp defeat out of the mouth of anybody that's not paying close attention to their dirty little paws.  I think the Saints are the better team here and the one thing that they have going for them is that both teams will be playing on the road this week.  If ya gotta pick, look for the Bears luck start to turn in a Southern direction.  This could be the end of the road for the Bears - no kidding!  Saints 16, Bears 15.

Player(s) to Watch

Ricky Williams has proved he was worth the first round pick in this past year's draft with his performances the last two weeks.  This week he will prove he is worth early pick that Miami has to surrender to the Saints in next year's draft.  The Dolphins will get that big J-E-T-S Monkey off their back this week.  Eight times in a row the Dolphins have outplayed the Jets and eight times in a row it had a negative affect on their position in the AFC East Standings.  Not this week.  The Jets were completely and utterly trashed, demoralized and embarrassed by the Patsies last week...watch that trend continue this week in South Beach.  The Fins will run Ricky left, run Ricky right, run Ricky up the middle, and run the Jets right outta town.  And, they'll do it with A-U-T-H-O-R-I-T-Y!!!  (Maybe this shoulda been my Stone Cold Lock of the week - Take it to the Bank!!!)  Miami 34 (Ricky's #), Jets 13.
