Basic Items:
The Base items is the white texted items without any
prefix/suffix.The slots are found between 8EFA8 and 91DF7 in Diablo and between A05C8 and
A370F in Hellfire. The names follows a couple of lines down after the last item. Each slot
is 76 bytes long. Or 4Ch lines (four lines and 12 bytes more,simple). There follow some
more info after the table.

Animation Flips
The animation flips are what
you see when an item gets dropped (by a player or monster). These are assigned to item
GRAPHICS, not individual base item slots. At 925D8 in diablo and A41A0 in Hellfire,
there's another table. This is where the flip data is stored. If you look at the tables
right after this (I mean on this page) You'll see the picture code. That is just a
number to wich number the picture is. Eaglehorn (it's a unique item, with a bone bow
picture). The graphical value for the Eaglehorn is 6C. 6Ch is 108 dec, so it should be the
108th byte in the flip table. We search 108 bytes into the table to get the value for the
flip animation. There we find '03' We can see by the list below '03' means it uses the
"bow" flip animation. And so on.

Unused flip
animations....
There are a couple of unused flip animations on the cd.
To activate them you can overwrite one of the ones in the last list. Then you'll have to
change some other numbers or the animation will freeze before the object reaches the
ground. I'm going to guess a bit now but I think I'm getting it right :)
In Diablo at 97210 and in Hellfire at A4330
there's a table. It starts with a 0F. 0Fh = 15 This means that this flip animation
contains 15 frames.Actually this flip should be the "medium armor flip" if I'm
not totally wrong. The Table is 23h (35 bytes) in Diablo and 2B long (43 bytes). It starts
with the medium armor and ends with the Staff of lazarus (Flazstaf) or mooses1 in
Hellfire. The order may be found a couple of lines up on this page. It follows the code
above. Be careful when overwriting things. Some flips are shared as names to items etc.
e.g. Axe, Cleaver, ring. I think there's a pointer you could change somewhere. But I'd
recommend sticking with the easy path. After all I can't see the meaning of changing all
axes into an eyeglobe. However, if you overwrite one flip (making sure it does have '00'
after it). Then change the byte in the table for frames it should work! EXAMPLE: Do a
search for "Food" in your hex editor. change Food to wand. (You won't need the
food that much, I don't know any pic it fits to). Then in Diablo change 92723 or in
hellfire change A434B from 01 -> 0D. This should do it since it's 13 frames in the Wand
flip and 13dec in hex is 0D. This might get useful if you want to make 1 handed staffs.
But do you think we're done yet. No way. Unless you don't want your wands to sound like
one. In hellfire change A43B4 from 23 to 2D & A4464 from 39 to 42 And in Diablo change
91C2C from 1D to 27 and at 91C30 change 21 to 29. So what was that all about. Well I wrote
that. Flip and inventory sounds. These are not bound to any pictures but is
bound to the flip animations. The Diablo flip sounds starts at 92734 and ends at 927BF.
Then the inv sounds starts at 927C0 and ends at 9284b. In Hellfire its a4360-A4413 and
A441-A44C3. Also the sounds you have to find out yourself. Well the missing flips are:
