A week after the dance, yearbooks were passed out in the class for yet another amazing year in homeroom class. Lina wanted all of her students to sign so she kept it out during class.
"I'll leave mine on my desk in case anyone feels like signing it," Lina announced as she set it down gently at the side of her desk. Silence rolled around the room for a moment. Then, Zell walked to the front of the room, picked up her yearbook, giving Lina a little wink, and by the end of the class everyone had written something in it, whether or not it was a message or just a plain signature.
The bell rang and the students rushed out. Lina picked up her yearbook which still lay on Kati's desk, placed it neatly into her bag, and walked back to her dorm. When she was comfortably sitting on top of her bed in her dorm she pulled it out and read the comments everyone had written in it. The first one she spotted was Zell's written in a scratchy punk-ish writing, and after smiling childishly to herself in thought of Zell, she read his entry in her yearbook:
Lina laughed. It was true: when they first met Lina wasn't really looking into Zell that much and she rather picked on him a little. Now it was so strange that two of the most unlikely people to like each other were attached like glue on paper.
Next she saw Karen's written in bubble letters:
P.S. don't be such a player! I always see you kissing someone new!
Just stick w/Zell alright?! Aight! besides.. you two make the
perfect couple. Seriously PERFECT. Let's just keep it that way!!!"
Then came Sally's comment. On her way backHers was written in cursive that was neat and tidy unlike Karen's bubble letters.
Sally and Lina weren't close to begin with. Sally had had a major crush on Zell for a while and then Lina comes out of no where. Zell just suddenly became attracted to Lina, maybe it was the incident at the dance in the very beginning of the year, but that is an entirely different story (literally).
Sally became overcome with jealousy and of course found ways of revenge, but Lina soon realized what she had done to Sally, although not purposely. She apologized and they soon became friends.
Then there was a shock, the one below Sally's entry was Chichiri's. He wasn't even at Garden anymore. He and his friends had to leave because of an emergency back in Animanga.
That answered Lina's question of how he was signing from so far away. It would have been nice for Chichiri to be because he was like a big brother to her, although that's not the way he felt.
Lina was just about to read the one Dan wrote when there was a knock at the door. Lina hopped out of bed reluctantly and answered the door. It was Gina.
She stood there, glaring at Lina.
"Uh...hi," Lina said unsurely. Lina suddenly felt her entire body go rigid and her muscles being touched by ice. Her eyes slid out of focus as she fell and fainted.
