Lina opened her eyes slowly. Her head throbbed and she found that he couldn't move any part of her body. She felt like she was just hit in the head with a giant cudgel. Something was being pulled out of her and she couldn't see anything. Her eyes were still unfocused and seeing double. She couldn't feel anything except for the splintery prick of wood at her fingertips and the intense pain as if something was being torn out of her body with great force. She soon realized that she had some type of metal bonds tired around her arms and her legs and she was tied down to a wooden board, therefore explaining the soft wooden feeling at her fingertips. Suddenly, those bonds tightened.
A bright white light was being pulled from her body and she struggled against it frantically. The light soon accumulated into a small sphere that could fit into the palm of her hand. It jumped away from Lina and around the room. Gina grabbed it immediately and let it soak deep into her skin. It was only then that Lina realized Gina was in the room.
"Thanks," Gina smirked as she was about to walk out of the dungeon like room they were in. Lina's eyes suddenly came into focus. The room or...place...she was in was poorly lit and it was hard to distinguish things through the dark. She sensed that it was a very wide room, but there were small wooden shelves driven into the hard cold walls and they were packed with items that must have been useless, but still kept for the sake of having them.
"Why?" Gina heard as she was almost out the door. She stopped walking and paused in her movement, as strands of her black hair fell into her face at her sudden halt. Lina gasped painfully and her eyes were almost to tears from the frustration and fear. Gina turned to face the tormented Lina; her eyes had a fiery red glow to them.
"This is revenge," Gina muttered simply. Lina lifted her head wearily. She had fought battles and had had to assassinate people, but never had she met such a confusing plot as this. Gina had seemed so flawless, but no one's ever flawless. No one is perfect. That was what had troubled Lina about Gina. Lina knew the truth now...that Gina was not perfect and now, she would not be fooled.
"What the hell have I ever done to you?" she asked, coughing and almost choking on her words. Gina ignored the question and turned towards the dark doorway again.
"If you try to get out of here there are a couple of surprises waiting for you," Gina snapped her fingers and the room suddenly filled with monsters. "But, if you stay in here, they'll get you anyways." Gina left the room with a fat smirk painted over her mouth.
Lina's head dropped showing that she was plainly too tired to move, too tired to escape. Her powers were gone and she had lost the battle, but then again, that doesn't necessarily mean that the war is over.
Gina waltzed down the halls of Balamb Garden happily. She planned on leaving the next day. Gina enjoyed the scenery: the beautiful halls of Garden blooming with eager faces of students and SeeDs. Gina wasn't watching where she was going when she accidentally bumped into Zell.
"Oh, Gina, have you seen Lina?" Zell asked, still unaware of the sinister acts that had taken place not too long ago. Gina turned to him slowly, puffing up her pride in her current victory.
"Why, yes I have," Gina smirked triumphantly. "Don't you like me, Zell? I look almost just like that other girl."
