Chapter Seven

When Lina got back to her dorm, it was already dark out and she was tired from rehearsing new dance moves the entire day so she decided to take a shower. It was only natural for the people of the same group to teach each other how to use the different instruments, and that's what they had done near the end of their practice session for about an hour. Karen had taught Lina some new beats on the drums, but playing the drums required strength and that strength had drain away quickly when they got to songs like Otherworld from FFX and other Linkin Park songs where the drums were played by none other than the famous Rob Bourdon.

While Lina was in the shower, Irvine knocked on the door.

"Lina!" After no response he pounded on it again. "Lina! I need those papers! Come on! Sephie's gonna kill me!" Still there was no response, but he pressed his ear against the door and he could hear the water running. Maybe I could just.. ya know...sneak in and get those papers...I mean... I'm sure she probably keeps them on her desk.... He took a hairpin out and picked at the lock on the door immediately.

Two minutes later, when Dan was just lying down on his bed he heard screaming from down the hall.

"YOU PERVERT!" he heard as he got up and walked towards the door to see what all the commotion was about. Irvine ran fast past his door with one hand over his hat and the other clutching a partially wrinkled piece of paper. His face was bright red and he had a scared facial expression painted on like a mask over his usually cheerful face. He was screaming pathetically and almost crying for his life. Something that sounded like glass crashing against the wall sounded throughout the hall as Lina hopped out with nothing but a towel wrapped around herself.

"AND STAY OUT!" she screamed at Irvine as she hopped back into her dorm; her cheeks were red with anger and embarassment. There was an eerie silence after Dan heard Lina's door slam shut; he knew that the halls and the people in it must have hear everything that happened. He walked over cautiously, footstep by footself, and knocked on the door quietly and with great caution. He also noticed pieces of a broken mug lying on the floor against the wall. It must have been what Lina had thrown at Irvine when he had trespassed into her room without permission.

"Just a sec," he heard from inside the dorm. The door opened a moment later and Lina was wearing a gigantic T-shirt that went down to her thighs. Her face was still a little rosy, but her welcoming smile washed away all her insecurities as she let her best friend into her room with a hearty welcome. "Hey Dan." Erm...sarcasm.

"You okay?" Dan asked her, trying to ignore the fact that her T-shirt was way too big for her to wear. "I saw Irvine running again..."

"You know him," she sighed.
