"Everything alright here?" Zell appeared in the doorway, curious. Lina smiled her loving smile and welcomed him in as usual. She nodded in response to his question as Zell came and wrapped his arm around her back. "I heard glass break and I knew it had to be Irvine," Zell asked, looking down upon Lina with his caring blue eyes. "Was I right?"
"Yeah," Lina and Dan both laughed at that. Irvine was known for doing some of the most ridiculous things ever. He was a master as dirty dancing and sometimes put on shows for the others featuring his most prized students: Selphie and Lina, but they'd always end up laughing because Irvine would plan the silliest things. He was also the master at picking locks and always seemed to have an extra hairpins lying around at the bottom of his pocket.
"Well, I better get going," Dan sighed as he headed for the door. Lina stood and showed him out of the room.
"See ya later, Dan," Lina waved. He walked out the door and back to his own dorm as Lina closed the door behind him. Lina then turned and sat down at the side of her bed with Zell by her side. Zell was the first to speak.
"Nice...big...shirt," Zell said, half laughing and rubbing her back lovingly in acknowledgement of her shirt. Lina blushed almost immediately as she remembered just what she was wearing...a giant...T-shirt... great...
"Ugh," she said. "Long story, let me change." Lina slipped into the bathroom and Zell waited patiently outside. Five minutes later Lina stepped out in jeans and a normal sized T-shirt. Zell was still sitting at the side of her bed holding a book in his hand. It was labeled "Elements of Sorceress Powers". He held it up and stared at her.
"Exams," Lina explained knowingly and quite simply. Zell nodded in acknowledgement and Lina sat down next to him. She leaned on his shoulder as he continued to flip through the book without examining any of the pages with any interest at all. Zell looked down at her expectantly.
"Yeah...I took the exam," Lina rolled her eyes as he put the book back down on her desk, still expecting her to say something interesting. "It was easy."
"I told you!" he nudged her and she nudged him back. Zell had told her that the exams were as easy as "junctioning magic", but Lina had still continued studying. Now that Lina had taken the test it only proved that Zell was correct. "HEY!" he threw his arm around her shoulder and kissed her cheek. Lina laughed heartily.
