ber connections!
Now for my next trick, I will connect the worlds of light and dark!
How was I able to accomplish this?
Alice Cooper.
Alice Cooper sang in Friday the 13th VI , so if his song exists in the Jason universe, so then too does Alice Cooper.
Robert Englund played himself in "New Nightmare", so that connects the Freddy
films to the real world, so Robert Englund as himself playing his other film
roles would also connect to Freddy.
Robert Englund played the movie Freddy alongside the real Alice Cooper
playing Freddy's stepfather
in "Freddy's
Dead".
Freddy and Jason already connect , but they also connect to and through Alice Cooper.
Alice Cooper was in The History of Rock 'N' Roll, Vol. 8 with Gene Simmons from Kiss.
Kiss made a guest appearance in issue #13 of Howard the Duck.
Howard the Duck had seperate encounters with both The Defenders, and Spider-Man.
Spiderman, Hulk (a Defender), and Howard the Duck all have movies.
Alice Cooper once guest starred on the The Muppet Show
The Muppet Show also once guest starred Vincent Price.
Vincent Price was in the animated series "The 13 ghosts of Scooby-Doo".
Scooby Doo once guest starred Batman and Robin.
Batman and Robin, the Dark Knight Returns Batman, and the modern comics Batman all made fantasy appearances in the Batman the Animated Series episode "Legends of Batman".
These fantasy sequences were by a group of children who hadn't seen Batman in the flesh, so their imaginings were based on rumor and urban myth.
One of the kids says he heard Batman "has leather armor, and his car can
drive up walls".
The other kids say something like "yeah, sure Joel".
This kid is supposed to be a goof on director Joel Shumacher, so this
obviously must be a gag reference to the Batman films.
So, this single
episode of Batman-TAS connects the Batman films, Dark knight Returns, and the
Adam West shows (the cartoon likenesses of Batman and Robin in the opening
sequence of the Adam West show were the same versions used in the Scooby Doo
cartoons, and the 60's Batman scene in BM:TAS:LOB, so one can safely assume
these are all the Adam West Batman).
So, Alice Cooper connects Freddy and Jason, Marvel comics, and DC comics.
Also, since thanks to "New Nightmare", we can weave in and out of the movie world and the real world with Robert Englund, we can now also use his star connections to strengthen the link.
Robert Englund was in "The Fifth Floor", with Tracey Walter
Tracey Walter
was in "Desperate Measures", with Michael Keaton who played Batman in "Batman",
and "Batman Returns".
Robert Englund was in "Urban Legend", with Brad Dourif
Brad Dourif was in
"A Step Toward Tomorrow", with Christopher Reeve who played Superman in
"Superman", "Superman II", "Superman III", and "Superman IV: The Quest For
Peace".
Thus, the horror world, and the hero world do in fact connect.
Wich is dandy because the Aliens, Predators, and Terminators connect to the respective heroes they fought, but they BELONG in the horror/monster world .
So, to even it out, let's just imagine that the heroes make a trade of the Aliens, Preds, and 'Nators in exchange for Ash .
Now, the armies of good and evil will align for the final battle.
