| 1994- You thought Not Ashamed was popular, with the '94 release of Newsboys fifth album, Going Public, mega hit Shine remains a staple in CCM to this day and helped to bring about Newsboys reputation for chart smashing hits despite being a rock band.. This album also brought about a Grammy nomination and soon after release, went gold. |

| 1996- Newsboys release their sixth album, the infamous Take Me to Your Leader. If there had been any doubts about Newsboys success, all doubts were gone by now! Take me to Your Leader was an instant hit. It also went gold and brought about Newsboys success not only as musicians but as performers. Newsboys also began getting some secular notice for their achievements.They also released a youth curriculum, Take me to Your Youth Leader. But even more than that- they made their very own movie. A movie that, without a doubt, is the biggest CCM cult classic of all time, the also infamous, Down Under the Big-top. |

| So, now I know you're saying to yourself, "Wow! I really need to get a copy of this movie!" Well, I hate to be the one to tell you that this wonderful and hilarious movie is no longer availiable. But, about three times a year a ton of Newsboys fans out bid each other for a copy of this movie on ebay for up to $50! |
| BUT, there is hope for us Newsboys fans! Thanks to none other than Peter Furler's own kid-brother, (well, ok, he's younger than Peter) David, a petition for a re-release of Down Under the Big Top (commonly refered to as DUTBT, by fans) on DVD with special features is underway! (thanks David!!)
