Fangirl Art, part 2
Randomness!
Slash finds a new friend, a young artist gets creative, Spidey receives a two-minute sketch; Glimmer, Hunga the Harpy Queen, Kowl, and She-Ra; Warbird, the truly outrageous Jem, and Kat again.
Boudica She-Ra

There was a thread on the He-Man.Org forums speculating on what the new Horde would look like.  Someone suggested the Horde as Romanesque.  And I thought, "If the Horde = Rome, then She-Ra = Boudica."

The quote comes from William Cowper's poem "Boadicea".
Phoenix Evolution

"Jean to Phoenix to Dark Phoenix - a progression as inevitable as death."  Even, I should think, with the Jean of X-Men: Evolution.  The quote is from Dark Phoenix in UXM #137 (wherein she killed herself).

Be warned; this is gigantic scan and make take a bit of time to load if'n you have a slow connection.  For those who care, the Phoenix raptor doesn't look so dull in real life, and this is mixed media: Prismacolor markers and generic colored pencils.
Sat-Ra She-Ra

Because Boudica is fun and all, but really, She-Ra is closer to ancient Egypt - where, I might add, the phrase "Daughter of Ra" was written as "Sat-Ra", I kid thee not.  She-Ra's dress is patterned after New Kingdom sheath dresses, and although I was just dying to use an Old Kingdom vulture crown, I went with a modified Nefertiti-style headdress.

The hieroglyphs in the "white version" spell out something that resembles, "Lord of the Two Lands, Adora, Daughter of Ra, may she live eternally!"  Oh, and Ma'atkare Hatshepsut, the original Daughter of Ra, was the coolest pharaoh ever.
Electrix

This one-shot Max Steel villainess is nothing new - she feeds on electricity blah blah shoots lighting blah blah - and her hair is predictably awful - but I like her anyway.  Go fig.

For this picture, though, I
tried something new - I scanned the pencil, printed a copy, then colored the copy.  Then I scanned it again and added some lighting effects in Photoshop.
