Oh...dear. And total chaos erupts. ^_~.
Hi, Roku-chan!! *waves* It's been awhile, I know, but now at last I have
returned to read and review, though for good or ill, the world of Men may
never know.
...and clearly I have been reading too much Tolkien, so thus will now clamp
my hands over my mouth and attempt to write a coherent review. --;;
I must admit, I'm quite impressed with how you pulled off the Flying Through
the Trees scene in play form--I could see the stage set-up very vividly, and
although of course one might have to be slightly insane to actually try it, I
think it would work quite well. ^__^ ...provided no overzealous seishi
happened to be using his super-human strength in the process of doing so, of
course. ^_~
Anyway. Poor Sano! Remind me NEVER to ask you for more lines! :P
Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you how much I LOVED this line of Tamahome's:
"I have to say, this is the first time that I’ve seen Tasuki and Nuriko
picking up girls."
*gigggggle* Very nice. ^__~ Although och, what's going to happen now that
Tama-chan has noticed The Look passing between Miaka and Tasuki?? Oh, and
will we be seeing Taiitsukun later on, as she of course has some involvement
in the story? Should I just check in my program? Did we GET programs?
Inquiring minds want to know. ^_~
And now, before I go...well, I must reply to one of your other reviews,
because while we are all entitled to our opinions, and certainly you,
Roku-chan, are far from the sort to be deeply affected by such criticism, I
disagree with said reviewer, and thus must have my say!! *dramatic pose*
Ahhhem. Anyway. It was remarked that the latter chapters of this fanfiction
resemble a Mary Sue fic, and while in the strictest sense of the term they
do--e.g., author inserts self and carries on romantic interludes with one or
more of the characters--I think it's rather unfair to slap that term onto
this story. The point of this fanfiction was for there to be blatant
self-insertion--and insertion of just about everyone else, as well ^_~.--and
just because romance (even if it is just to piss Kryssa off :P) enters into
that story, that doesn't make it a Mary Sue.
The focus, after all, isn't on the plot of the play (we know what happens in
White Stones, after all), but on the characters, real and fictional, and how
they interact with one another. And that, I think, is one of this fanfic's
strongest points--that, and it's irreverent and often foul-mouthed humor. :P
So, rock on, Roku-chan. :P Anata wa Mari Su ja nai. ^__~.

OMG! that was one hell of a great chapter! i love it! the way
you made them fly out over the audience and randomly grab up clueless
audience members was genius! especially when you let everyone land on
Sagara Sanosuke! i think that was the best part next to the whole thing
itself. keep up the good work and more soon please.

I can only pray that my name will actually show up on this
review --;;;;; Beats the carp outta me why it didn't in Hidden Paths...
bygones. *giggles* Ever since I got a sneak peak at this chapter, I've been
DYING for it to come out. I love the silliness and seriousness and even the
warped interaction we have with the seishi. You're just so good at making
it real and fun!! And yes, you are a paranoid wench. Whether or not that's
a good thing is questionable, but when I was reading the first section I
was thinking, "And how the hell can they get into trouble? I'd like to
think they're professional enough to work safely on this, right?"
*insert Roku pointing and laughing derisively* Yeah... we'll get to that. I
was veeeeeeery impressed by all the detailing you did, making sure
everything in Flight was accounted for and adjusted to fit the stage. I
cannot imagine having to think of all the different things for that setup,
and then try and convey it so it still sounds interesting. My hat's off to
you!!! *bows and tips hat*
Aaaaaaahhhh, poor Aikido-chan!! *hugs the Mits fangirl* That wretched sense
of honor!! But now you've got me really REALLY hoping something happens
between them; I mean, I can practically ~taste~ the attraction in the air
between them. I ~was~ laughing a little bit, just remembering Aikido-chan's
reaction to this part though I feel kind of guilty about it. *sighs* Only
Roku knows how this shall go...
Ahem, and now our feature presentation! You would have thought the comments
at the top about airplanes and runways would have given something away. But
nooooooo, Kris is thick as a brick and totally missed it until there was
chaos flying everywhere. For my own defense, I read this at 3:30 AM last night so I couldn't have been in the
clearest of mindset. Aaaanyway... I must admit, reading "Flight"
like this was tons of fun - seeing the actor/seishi's reactions brought a
continuous grin to my face and lots of cheering.
Until I saw the part where Nuriko hugs Tasuki too hard and he flips the
other off. That's when the warning bells rang for me. The "family
exchange" was scarily easy to picture and hear in my head, by the way.
Hmmm, wonder why? ^_~ But I was reading through, hoping against hope that
they weren't about to do what I was thinking they were gonna do. Of
course... Nuriko and Tasuki come through as expected and lookit aaaaall the
troubles and screaming. I was extremely excited to see Chichiri at work,
and now that I'm more lucid I finally understand how his warping of reality
worked out for the flyers.
Heheheheheh, damn you really picked on Sano, didnt'cha!!?!? But like ya said,
careful what'cha ask for. *grins and giggles* And I love the name-calling
between him and Tasuki that will eventually create more problems than the
Director thought possible, ne? I was laaaaughing like crazy through it all
especially when Mom attacked Kouga and Nakago had Soi open an umbrella.
Wooo, nothing like slapstick humor is there!!!
I thank Sorceress for her comment on NOT tormenting the music mistress - I
didn't even do/say anything I wasn't supposed to this time around!!! And
she rocks, saving the seishi like that! But the ending with Tama looking so
suspicious... man, that cannot be good for Tasuki ~or~ Miaka. *sighs
happily* Ok, I've used up a helluva lot of review space, so I'll close with
the usual rants of "I loved this, please write more of this because I
need the humor". Luck, love, and well-behaved seishi!!!

This is review is half praise half criticsm.
Chapters 1-5 was some of the one of the best fanfiction I've ever read.
You're use of detail made the reader feel like they were actually
backstage. The way you switched between angst and humor was very well done
and made for a great contrast. I don't usually mind self-insertion but this
one wasn't bad but incredibly well done.
Chapters 6-8 became another self-insertion mary-sue fic. It was still well
writen but the play which was the central part of the plot was all but
forgotten. It was still funny but not as good as the first chapters. I hope
you don't think I'm a total bitch because I do really like you're fic.

I COULD be really ticked off here ~grins~ I could. Where have I -been-
these past two or three chapters?! No one goes to the bathroom-that- much
unless they're on - or need - medication! ~grins~ Now I am neither, so let
me out of the booth! ~wails and pounds on the booth door~ My place is
backstage! That's why I'm a stagehand, damnit! Oh ouch... bringing back bad
memories... See e-mail and you'll get what I mean.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway... You know, someone we're becoming psychic. Because I
knew knew KNEW RIGHT when you said "another story" the first time
that something like that would come up! ~grins~ And needless to say, I was
not disappointed! Tasuki SINGS! And the Gorillaz! And yes, all you are is
an over-aged under-grown college kid ~grins evilly~
And ripping into Ryu-chan and Mouse - none of us would -ever- do that!
Daaaaaaaaaaamn, has Tasuki got a mouth on him! ~grins~ He needs duck tape!
~grabs the tape, then starts chasing Tasuki to tape him shut - and Tasuki,
who has previous experience with Kaze-chan and duck tape [see her Rehearsal
fic for the reference - and dangit, what is it about Tasuki that always
makes him be the leading man?] turns tail and flees~ Damnit flame-head,
come back here!
Yeah, I was bouncing in my seat and shrieking and gasping for breath and
all the whooooooole way through this chappie just as normal, and I scared
Dad again into thinking that something was wrong with me '^_~' Evil Roku!
If you're not careful, you'll put me in the hospital!
And my favorite part of this chapter - KRIS GETTING BACK AT YOU!
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! GO KRIS! Go KRIIIIIS, go KRIIIIIIIS! I must say I
enjoyed the entire idea of a "Kiss the Monk" booth, even if I
wouldn't have participated except for merciless teasing (if I was -there-
to -speak-! ^_^), but that just made me really happy and crowing and all.
And yes that's horrible grammer, but I'm about to submit myself to the
horrors of the research paper, so give me a LITTLE leeway.
Can't really talk about defects like ff.n wants us to - with this style,
there's almost NO way to make grammatical mistakes (such as leaving a comma
out) because it's -dialogue-! But hell, you pull it off
exxxxxxxxxxxxxccellently! ^~ See ya! WATCH THE E-MAIL!

Now having me jump Chichiri's bones after he's just been
mesmerized by Kryssa's kiss really DOES exceed the bounds of credulity and
good taste....keep it up, girl 'cause I want more! This was a hilarious
chapter and I'll have to go read "Another Story" to catch up on
Mousechan's characterizations. What the hell did you do to Mits?! The good
doc should institutionalize you. Count on Chichiri's Girl not to stand in
his way, either. The Nakago-Tamahome scene was a hoot! You so bad, girl.
Mom's Slipper Attack on Tasuki was perfect. I had almost forgotten all
about those since you kept the Parental Units quiet in the audience for
awhile. Poor Tomo, I really want to see what his feathers look like after
Kei-chan's interrogation. Finish off this series then work on "Bridge"
because I don't want to wait too long for the next chapter.

It's been a tough week- lab projects for Chem and Micro,
instrumental jury for flute coming up, a very familiar paper, and life in
general has been kicking my arse. Thus, this morning found me sitting
happily at the computer screen, blowing off steam in a wonderfully amused
fashion. So because of that, my emotional susceptability is much higher
than usuan, and are at least a billion things I need to comment on. So
please, dear Roku-chan, bear with me as I rant almost as much as you did.
Chichiri and me... *melts into puddle of goo* oh God, you have no idea
what that did to me to read it. I will be daydreaming about that little
incident for the next... aw hell, I don't care!!! And I must say, it was
rather pleasing to note that Chichiri enjoyed it as much as I did.
However... *beats the ever-living sh$t outta Tama ~again~* don't ever
EVER come between a fangirl and her bishie, especially not me and
'Chiri!!! I may never get a chance to do that again, demon-boy, so I will
get you back for breaking that kiss!!!
I'm going to ignore all the shared sisterly comments and decide that some
things are better left untouched. However, I am quite interested in how
you're going to get the Love Triangle to resolve. Watching Miaka confess
her undying love to CG was hilarious, but is she gonna get the nerve to
say it again to Tasuki? And once she does... what happens to poor Tama? I
have a funny feeling art is going to reflect life in a very real way for
this crew.
As for the hiccups... if Shin's caught in your esophagus, can't someone
do the Heimlich or get Mits to "heal" it out or even ask Chiri to
"magic" it out? I have a funny feeling your going to need Shin
in the future chapters, but it would save you from being drowned or given
a heart attack.
Aaaaaa, poor Mouse-chan and Ryuen! God, that was brutal of Tasuki, but
still hilarious!! I love how Nuriko defends his girls and the way they
did that wonderfully impromptu singing bit. And for their defense, he was
only in a gown once. But I was dying of laughter when someone's Heart's
Desire had to run off-stage naked because of your subconscious. *points
and laughs uproariously* God, Aikido-chan deserves a little fun, for all
the pains she's lived through with this case. But hey, you did say
something about getting Mits and Hotohori naked at some point,
didn't'cha? Good job!
In the interest of keeping my sanity and not killing you (for once...)
I'm not going to comment about the akugi or the last chapter. I was
actually keeping a very cool head in the last chapter, thinking,
"All right, she's purposely trying to get me upset. Perhaps she's
just giving another massage or something..." I was really trying not
to get the urge to kill you. Surprising? Noooo, I'm just learning.
However, in the instance that my emotions do decide to override my good
judgment, I will be keeping a set of sharpened swords at hands' reach.
All right, Roku-chan, I need to go to Micro lab and figure out unknown
cultures. Fun... But I really had fun this time around and I can't wait
for more chapters from you. Please finish writing!! Luck, love, and
chocolate whipped cream!!!!!

Tasuki and Chichiri are my favorite male characters on Fushighi Yuugi.

Yo, Roku-chaaan! ^__^;; Please do not hate this unfortunate
humble young person for taking so long to review your wonderful stories.
This unfortunate humble young person is very contrite at her misconduct,
and wishes to offer for your consideration Exhibit A: Homework.
Mouse-chan has many many many many boring things to do for school.
Exhibit B: Laziness. Mouse-chan is very very very very lazy. And finally,
Exhibit C: Desire to be thorough. Mouse-chan very much wants to read each
of your chapters without having to rush through them in order to get the
full effect of the story. Therefore, although she always skims through
the chapters the moment you post them (wahhahaha, she is watching you),
she also almost always waits to review until she can find a decent time
block during which to fully immerse herself in the fic. ^_~ Yeah, she's
full of excuses, but it's true, so don't hate her. ^_^;;
With that said, I would like to get around to actually commenting on the
chapter. ^_~ I'd take Chiriko over Aaron Carter any day of the week,
believe me. Despite my shameful past where a certain boyband is
concerned, I cannot stand the little bugger. ANYWAY, moving on. ^_~ I
love poor misogynistic Tomo, eehee. ^_^ And, ooh; I was thinking the
other day. Given the fact that he's supposed to have a thing for Nakago,
and Nakago's character is apparently sometimes pronounced as
"Shin," is there a connection between the shell and the man? ^_^;;
It'd be pretty sad to have a shell named after you. Then again, I have a
pillow named Sai. --;; Nevermind.
Ahem. As always, I was struck by your fabulous detail. I love all the
little things that give the reader such a clear picture of everything that's
going on: how the characters look, their expressions, the lighting, etc.
And I was also thinking how absolutely fantastic this would be as a real
play. ^___^ Ehehe...naturally, it would take lots more work than simply
writing about it, but hopefully you'd have all the possible accidents
covered, and you'd know how to react! ^_^;; I'd pay good money to go to
see it. ^_^ And a live-action performance of FY would be pretty darn
cool! (They have one for Sailor Moon, so why not? ^_~ ) Pioneer into the
world of fan plays! Heehee.

O.o! Ok OK Gomen Roku-chan! *bows and such* This is the
first time I'm able to sit and finally read this good enough to submit a
review! Ahhh! This is really good...! It's like a huge soap opera within
one! I laughed, cried drooled....er yeah anyway.... you know That whole
scene with tasuki yeah...well there were many...O.o And do trust me...I
would have made a fuss over you man handling Gen-chan in that sort of

Maybe I should provoke the Chichiri-fangirl-jealousy
thingy...I thought that was funny...and seeing more of that would be even
more funny. But actually, in my little circle of friends, I own Tasuki
and have a time-sharing claim thing on Inuyasha...so I'll let Lenore (who

apologize to the rest of the Fanfic Covention-Part 2 cast when we meet
up over tea and I splatter your blood all over the harpist. Yup! Ya got

Anyway, loved the Inu-Yasha/Tasuki scenes a lot. The Kagome/Miaka scene

and Nuriko nicely, too. I'm seeing a depth to 'Hori's character that I
never saw in the original series....no offense, Yuu-sama. And, hey! the

Oh, that was a good one! You Mary-Sue bitch!
And yeah, you got me and my hesitant ear-fondling exactly right. As
much as I like Inu-Yasha, where are my tall dark and handsomes,
Mitsukake and Miroku? You can kiss Chichiri all you want. I take back
that bitch comment. Just get me some action. Kei-chan gets to noogie
Tomo! (and well she should!)
Best lines: "miko addict"! Sango always says the right things
- I think that's why I like her so much.
And the Hotohori/Nuriko parts are great. Note to other fans: Roku is
teasing you with all this good stuff, because these issues between
Nur/Hoto are going to be dealt with in another fic, sometime in the far
away future. But it's great to hear some of it now! Especially Hotohori
professing his love, with a look of "frenzied passion" as a
big pink balloon! hahahahhaha!
I like how Inuyasha and Tasuki brawl and then bond over their love
triangle problems. It was very sweet, but still true to character.

Hmmmm...
I adored the interplay between characters, as always; Tasuki with
Miaka, Tasuki with Inuyasha, Nuriko with Hotohoriii (^___________^.),
etc. etc. etc. !! Additionally, you do an excellent job of portraying
the clueless Tamahome; I'm starting to feel quite bad for the poor guy!
Oh, and ahahahh...the Nuri/Hori scene was absolutely fantastic.
^_____^. Just that image, of pink-puffball Hori proclaiming his love to
Nuriko...*cracks up* Ahhhhhh, I don't know how Nuri kept a straight
face as long as he did!! ^___~.

And now, the brilliant, terrifying cliffhanger...transformation into

I mean, reply. You really ~~really~~ know how to get a Chichiri fangirl
ticked off, dont'cha? And I know for a fact it only took 65 words to
get me riled up, thank you very much!!! Wench... though I do have to
thank you for that little commercial of my story in yours. A nice
surprise, actually, somewhat offsetting my agony and repeated promises
of killing the CS author... I suppose you'll want me to leave the
Chichiri kiss issue alone now, though don't think for a SECOND I got
all the murderous impulses out of my system. And it's almost 1 in the
morning!!! Not a healthy emotion this late at night...
Well as you know, I've never read or watched Inu-Yasha, so I like how
you managed to give us enough characterization to fill in a newbie
without overdoing it. Like, I appreciated how you gave us this bit of
background, tied it in beautifully with the FY issue, and made me
actually a bit curious to see how everything turns out for him and
Kagome (if there is any resolution). And seeing the two bond like that
just made me smile and want to cuddle both Tasuki and Inu-Yasha.
Since this chapter had so much going on, I better say what else I liked
about it. For one, the whole Soulmates chapter had me doing
"awwwwws" until I couldn't breathe. It was just so...
kawaiiiii!!! And Hotohori's admission of love made me melt *more awwwws
pop up*
I'm also glad to see Kei-chan again. Woo hoo! All conventioneers
present and accounted for! I find it incredibly scary that I can
picture her doing those things to Tomo and looking totally casual about
it. Of course, I can also see Mouse-chan and Ryuen hunkered down in
their seats for Ch. 3... but this was just fun watching her beat him
up!
I think perhaps the funniest thing of this chapter was, without a
doubt, the last scene. For some reason *whistles innocently* the banter
between all three sisters just made me burst into gales of laughter.
And yes, my roommies had wisely decided to ignore my irrational
laughing fits. But still... the idea of the seishi ~boys~ being turned
into ~women~ (the Director and her sisters, no less) just sent me over
the edge. It's really too bad that you're going to be gone from this
fic for a few weeks. *wipes away a tear* I'll miss it, but I hope that
Real Life gives you a break soon. Luck and love (and poisoned
tea...)!!!

I love how you get all "motherly" with your
actors. (Ha! I laugh derisively). Now, my friend, if yer gonna

Casting Stones (Next time, if you do have something as long as 16,000
words, I'd advise you to post the whole damn thing! You say why? I

think of Tasuki as Tasuki and the "illusion" will wear
off... we'll see, ne?? And seeing Mom telling Tasuki he's not saying
'Rekka Shin'en' right nearly killed me! I have my roommmate sitting
next to me, so I covered up my hysterical laughter with horrid bouts
of coughing. I actually did it a lot during this chapter, so she's
half-convinced I've lost a lung. Hehehe... Wyrd Sisters...
I loved the sappy Nuri/Hoto scene- it gave me warm fuzzies (and a
giggle fit at Nuriko's mental state once he left the screen). And I
found myself humming along to "Mrs. Robinson" (seeing as
how it was the only song I knew...) and getting completely into the
'swing' of this chapter. *thinks* No, I think that's all I can
comment on. Oh, and I liked Chichiri's comment about "key"
and staying on it. Soooo, now that I'm done amusing both myself and
the author (maybe...) I'm off!! Luck, love, and a glass of water for
those hiccups ^_^

read the first half of this when it was first posted, but I was,
uh...well, a bit side-tracked by a flood of writing inspiration, and
thus never got around to finishing it and reviewing. But now, ahaha,
I have finished, and all is well and right with the world!!
...ahem. Anyway. ^_^. Yet another fantaaaaaastic chapter!!! Eehee,

Anyway, though, I'm still in awe as to how well you're handling this,
and somehow turning what is basically the retelling of White Stones
into something fresh, new, and hilarious! ^___^. Your descriptions
are typically-excellent, the interactions between all your characters
(and yourself ^_~.) are moving and/or very entertaining, and ahhh!
This story is working on so many levels that it's unbelievable!
So. Bottom line, I suppose, isssss...write more!! ^____^. I'll be

though, wouldn't it make everything from emotional prep talks to

Very funny, Roku-sa, I enjoyed it all. Tomo was
adorable, and Chichiri's girl...maybe you should put a leash on

Mental breakthrough I think I've made: authors (me, you, Mouse,
Ryuen, etc) torture their favorite characters the most I think
because we're so familiar with them that we -know- how they would
react. With other characters we're not as familiar with, it almost
seems wrong because we can't represent their emotions as well. Just
a thought, but maybe it applies to more people than me ^_^ See ya

As I pick myself up off of the floor from laughing...
The Suzaku handshake! Ha! You are parody-ing my reactions to the
parody! So many layers! It makes one's head veritably swim. Maybe I
need to go take some more vitamins.
Oh, you"slut for love" you, just keep going - more sex
and innocent and not so innoccent deception. And what effects will
Shin come to have on you? Illusions? Homoeroticism? - oh wait - you
already have that. And of course, I'd like to see more of
Mitsukake, literally and figuratively.
On the serious side, I thought the visualization of the dream
sequence was neat-o. And Tasuki's desire for the dream of fiction
to never end - it was touching, and we in the fan fiction world can

Another CS chapter!! We've been such good readers we get another
double-length chapter!! YAY!!!!!
Lesse... what shall I comment on first??? Uhm, how about dialogue?
Too funny! And I think I recognize some of those lines! *giggles
innocently* I can't imagine some of us saying anything like that,
can you??? Aikido-chan and her pills was hilarious, Mouse-chan and
Ryuen throwing roses at Nuriko... so much fun!!! And so many of
Chichiri's lines had me cracking up so much my dad actually asked
me who I was talking to. Speaking of pills... now that you've
swallowed Shin, does this mean you're going to be able to do
illusions? That could be intensely amusing (if not overtly
disgusting... "girl spit!!" heheheheh).
Actors and nutcases... all of 'em!! You've got Mitsukake acting
like a real person (which an actual sense of humor), Chichiri doing
some pretty wicked special effects, and Tama doing some wicked
things in general!! You're right- this isn't a play, it's a day
care! I love how all the Seishi gang up on Tomo to protect their
beloved Director. And your sister... let her know we're worried for
her mental health and that perhaps it would be best to visit Mits
in the near future (like now!).
Uhm, yeah I think that should do it for now. I love this parody,
love your characters and their... odd personalities, and I simply
adore the overall sense of fun and camaraderie flying around here.

Hullllooooo Roku-chan!! **waves pleasently and
hyperactively** Tis Kneazle, the fellow fanfic authoress who

point** I came over to see "Casting Stones" (actually,
reread it.. .^_^) when I saw a NEW CHAPTER!! I gladly clicked on
it, and lookie at what I found!!
**clears throat** Excellent, merely excellent (isn't that a
contradiction??). I loved it, especailly the serious nature that
you paced in as your character explained to Tasuki how serious
and important the "aftermath" scene was; it made your
character no longer 2-D, but 3-D, earning a place amongst the top
authors of the fanfiction world! Congrats -- IMO, you've reached
the highpoint, the top of the career, because you're weaving a
well thought out story within a story (as humorous to serious as
the next). That takes considerable risks and talent, so I applaud

Holy shit. (long pause while searching the review
pages) No...no...NO NO NO NO NO!!! (pants heavily) I'VE NEVER

Ahem. Too much white chocolate in the morning for anyone's

fic, rather than just loitering around the reviews page.
(sweatdrops) Absolutely adorable remake of the original fic. The
characters, despite the simplicity of the plot, are just as solid
as before; the humor is very well presented (did I mention that I
adore your crazy family?!), but other elements do come to mind,
including your dedication to the play.

Before I actually get started on the review, I feel
it best to let you know how excited I was to see this chapter
come out.
Last night, around...10 or so, I brought up ff.net and saw, to my
extreme happiness, CS had been updated. I joyfully clicked on the
story and found...Chapter 4 was missing. As in, it went AWOL,
thus causing a cry of utter desolation to escape my lips. Thus,
for the next hour or so, I kept checking to see if CS would show
its missing chapter. I went to bed ready to tear out my hair.
This morning, thankfully, it was up and ready to be read.
However...I had to leave right before I even got started on the
story, causing another scream of agony to echo through the house.
It is only now, some 20 hours later that I have finally read the
story and can review it. Perhaps NOW you know how much I love
your story.
And I have no words, no way of expressing how wonderful the story
is. I mean... God, I can't even say. For all the dramatic scenes,
with you letting us know a little bit about the woman behind the
computer screen and Tasuki doing more than just acting... I was
not in this world. All I knew was the words I was reading and the
emotions and EVERYTHING hit me between the eyes and almost made
me burst into tears. It's a damn shame we'll never get to see it
the way you've dreamt it.
And of course, no review of mine would ever be complete without
commenting on the lighter and humorous parts of the story.
Needless to say, I'm blushing quite happily from my cameos and
nearly died when I read about the possibilites for Chapters
11+12. *can't stop grinning* And I was wondering when Ryuen and
Mouse-chan would come back, too. See??? Psychic/psychotic! I
would keep talking but I'll run out of room or completely
overtake the review page. But you see??? We love you, Roku-chan!!

Usagi: COME ON!!!! Besides! I heard rumor that Inu-Yasha was
there! ::gets stary eyed::
Crazy Lady: WHAT!? EVIL PUPPY BOY THAT ISN'T EVEN HOUSE TRAINED
YET IS THERE!? THAT BASTARD! I'LL GET HIM!!! ::pulls out her frying
pan, suddenly in combat army pants with a matching bandana on her
forehead, wearing her black t-shirt and black hiking boots, runs

The strong emotions in this fic always scare the
heack out of me - great job! I don't think I can write strong
emotions that well, but then again I've never had any of
this...erm...stuff...happen in my fics, either, but I tend to
write off my personal experiences, and stuff like that has never
happened to me (thank God). I think that the reason that I didn't
review some chapters were that they scared me too much (the
emotions were so realistic) and I had to give my mind a break
afterwards. It's very interesting to read this, na no da! ^___^

Hey you "conceited arrogant hussy"!
Well....I'm not quite sure where to start. The purification scene
seemed much more real in this version than in the original
story....maybe because I actually felt as though I was standing
in the wings and watching it. I cried more as I was reading this
(at 1:00 a.m.) than when I read "White Stones...." In
addition, I laughed more at Tamahome, Nuriko, Kryssa, and the
Inu-Yasha gang. (Incidentally, I DO agree with S. Sagara that you
should put in some Rurouni Kenshin characters as well....that I
do.) Ahem....about our parental units scene, you also have THEM
down cold too...especially The Scolding. Of course, I wanted to
see YOU get The Slipper (as in past history, right?) as well but
Chao-chan's Revenge had me in stitches. By the way, I really
think that the Vampire Princess missed out on this one since you
still had her in the bathroom. However, she probably brought a
mini-TV so that she wouldn't miss an episode of "Sponge Bob
Squarepants"....even at the opening of her sister's most
(in)famous play. Oh, and by the way, "mystical galoot"
are fightin' words, girl! Do NOT insult the Method
Actor/Sorcerer! You're in for it now......

This was amazingly fantastically excellent, Roku-chan!!
^__________^. As I already have a great many Secret Garden
songs but somehow didn't have "Prayer," I downloaded
it before I read the Tasuki/Miaka bath scene, and it
reeeeeeeeally added to the scene!! You blend drama and comedy
so astoundingly well that I actually found myself getting teary
twice throughout this chapter--once in sadness and once in
hysterical laughter! ^_~.
I could sit here and tell you all the wonderful things about
this chapter--the serious talk about rape victims with Tasuki,
Tasuki and Miaka getting a liiiiiiittle too into their scenes,
the irony of Chao-chan's constructive criticism, Nuriko
pretending it's he and Hotohori-sama (^_______^.), Chiriko and
that video camera!! ^_^;;, your Mom and The Slipper, poooooor clueless
Tamahome, Nakago!, etc. etc. etc.!!!--but geez, that would take
too long. ^_~.
...oh, and concerning Mouse-chan and I in the audience
blushing--truthfully, that's probably EXACTLY what we'd be
doing. ^_~.
Woo!! This was a wonderfully-long chapter!! Write more

Bwahahahaha! Not only did I enjoy the
depictions of "The Family" but your reviews were
pretty amusing as well. You should be so lucky to have such
"cool parents" and "neat sisters"! I really
think that you are still being too KIND and not quite truthful
enough when you write about us. Turn up the heat some! Anyway,
looooooove the anime characters (FY, I-Y, etc...) and their
reactions in this play. Of course, Chichiri's Method Acting is
superb. This kind of throws me back a few years to "Who

I had actually been to this chapter
earlier but ff.net erased my review so I had to do this again.
*begins to pummel Tamahome* You arse you arse you arse!!! You
scared the sh%& outta me, you arse!!! *continues to beat
him* Roku-chan, I seriously thought you were going to have the
oni actually appearing in the story. Darn you for being too
good of a writer that you nearly gave the whole audience a
heart attack!!! And Nakago's reaction... I would never have
guessed he'd react like that to the scene, but I like the idea
that perhaps he has a few second thoughts about the action now.
But onto the lighter and finer things in life... like Tasuki in
a tearaway costume. If I'm a really good girl, do you think you
could make a Chichiri in tearaway for me?? I suppose Chichiri's
girl would wanna share him, though... But I think it's kinda
funny that the "older crowd" is just as susceptible
to hentai as the "younger kids". That was a most
enjoyable scene *grins impishly*. And I love this Chichiri,
with his smartass sense of humor. I can't wait for more and I
hope you have a great 4th of July also. Luck, luv, and even

...mannnnnnn. FINALLY! I've been trying to get in to read this
chapter since it was put up, but ff.net hasn't been showing
anything but the first chapters of stories for awhile now.
Grrr. I was less than pleased. ^^;;
But, anyway!!! Wow, what a chapter!! ^_________^. I -love- all
the visual details you have in here; it gives such an amazing
sense of reality to things, and I love that I can see it all so
vividly. Also, all the characters--even the real people--are
absolutely amaaaaazingly entertaining! The interactions are
pitch-perfect, and your parents crack me up! ^____^.
...also, ahahahaha. Tama with the feather, Chiriko with the video
camera, the bishie fines? Muwahahahaahahaha. :) My little
brother is growing quite irritated with me, as I was supposed
to be off the computer about ten minutes ago, but instead, I've
been sitting here finishing reading this chapter, and laughing
so much that he thought I was taunting him. Eheh. ^^;
Anyway, though. To avoid another brotherly outburst, I think
I'll be on my way now. But, woo!! This was an excellent,
excellent chapter--ah, and if you don't mind, I'm going to
print out some of it to send to Mouse-chan, as I'd hate for her
to be deprived of this until she gets back in two weeks. :)

Well...hmm...chapter 2 was cute. Sweet Tama-chan and all...You
have a very cute and funny sense of humor. (And Nakago's
"death by hamster wheel line" gave me a laugh, as we
all know it would. Although...chapter 3...you are aware that
Soi and Tomo know about his past with the emperor, right? And
that Soi--and probably Tomo--went through the same thing?)
Chapter 3 on the other hand...I didn't find so funny. I'm
sorry, but no one can really make a joke out of rape for me. I
appreciate that you gave it a more serious tone--weak knees,
Miaka's illness, everyone crying, etc, etc--but really...it
scared me. *hugs herself and remains thoughtful* It doesn't
really hit you until you picture it...Although, Chiriko was
adorable...and now I am very aware of how hentai you really
are. I love you, Roku-san! :-p

think are funny as I was sitting right there giggling the whole

Ahem. *glares at ff.net* I read this last
night, and triiiiiiied to leave a review, but alas, the ff.net
gods were apparently bent on keeping me from such a task, and
it went undone. *hangs head in shame* Sooooooo, here I am now.

First of all, I had to clamp my hands over my mouth quite a few
times while I was reading this, because (a) it was late at
night, and raucous laughter tends to wake people up, and (b) it
was just that damn funny! *fervent nodding*
Nakago was sooooo perfect. *gringrin* Every line of his was
completely in-character...and funny! Gyah! I especially loved
the comment about the hamster wheel! ^_____^. Annnnnd, let's
see... Hotohori, reading the endless introduction...primordial
ooze! Wahahaha! Annnd poor Tasuki, on the revolving stage! And
Tama (-chan, not -neko) selling popcorn for pennies, nickels,
and dimes...ahahaha. There was that lovely tender moment there,
too, that just...ahhhh, it's just all so well-done. ^___^.
*happy sigh* I love it all, how about that? It's sharp, it's
funny, and everyone is in-character--plus the addition of
random reviewers and family members is wonderful! Your mom
continues to crack me up everytime she makes an appearance.

Hey Roku-chan, guess what??? Today's my
birthday, so reading this chapter just made for a great ending
to an awesome day. And to be even more coincidental, I think
I'll end up the 13th reviewer, which is not only the date but
also my lucky number. *grins happily* It's been a good day!
And I have no worries about being seen in the next chapter.
Heck, I doubt you could forget me even if you wanted to :P But
this chapter was a lot of fun. Tama-baby was being his usual
okane-loving self, and it was just so... cute, what with him
not wanting fake paper stuff! I did the 'awww' response. I feel
so bad for Tasu-chan, nearly getting killed by the Hamster
Wheel ~and~ the Slipper. Oh well; Miaka will make him feel

YAY!!!! *does bandit-dance with
Roku-chan* I'm so excited!!! I'm in the story!!! I love music
(as if you lot didn't know!) and I'm going to have a great
time in the sound booth. But doesn't this mean I'll be
working with Chichiri's Girl? Two Chichiri fans in one room
could be EXTREMELY dangerous to the theater (of which I think
I know the one you're talking about. It IS scary.).
Onto the rest of the story... I love it! I love the derisive
descriptions about the theater, I love the dialogue between
everyone, and I love your sense of humor. I think we share
the same sense... (be afraid, be very afraid --;;). The line
'The red-haired one is bitching, as usual.' made me laugh so

Heh, heh, heh...I'll give you this,
Roku-san. You do have an amazing talent here. Very few
authors I know have the ability to switch over from drama to
comedy as easiy as you do. *hugs*
A few notes and points of criticism (You thought you could
escape?):
-My nickname for you is Roku-san since, considering our age
difference, it's only fair that I give you respect. Likewise,
I refer to Tamahome as Tama-san or Tama-chan, not Tama-kins.
(*shudders at the thought of being like Nuriko*) That pretty
much goes for anyone in general, too, since I'm relatively
respectful. (i.e. If I talk to Ryuuen, I'll call her
Ryuuen-san.)
-Actually, I meant more a replica of Nakago's whip. -_- Now
I'm afraid of what he'll do when he learns I have it.
-How come the show is rated NC-17 yet the story was only R?
-*twitches* You know I adore my Seiryuu seishi, right?
Especially Nakago, and especially Soi since she's right up
there with Miaka in my list of favorite strong females in anime.
I WILL protect them at any cost. *twitches* ANY!
-Boink? *twitches and hand moves to whip*
-I still want a scene with Mitsukake naked. Believe it or
not, he was the first Suzaku seishi I fell in love with.
(Then I grew to love Tamahome, er, and then Nakago, Soi,
Ashitare, Amiboshi, Suboshi...*goes on*)
-You could always use Tasuki's tessen to avoid The Slipper,
and if you bribed Tomo with naked pictures of Nakago, you
could probaby get him to create of illusions around your
parents (and Tamahome) during the risque parts so they
wouldn't see it...

OK Roku-chan, here's the list:
1) RIGHT before curtain, or a VERY important scene, a VITAL
prop has to go missing. Like, say, Chichiri's shakuju right
before the exorcism scene. It ALWAYS happens.
2) Waiwaiwai! I get to work with Roku-chan! Although I am not
THAT young ~grins~ Be careful or I'll pull a Chao-chan and
start talking about how age has little to do with maturity
usually.
3) Can I have Tama-neko following me around if I'm ever seen?
Please? I love that little cat!
4) Again with the if-I'm-ever-seen, I HAVE to be wearing all
my bizarre necklaces. I have five and I am never without
them. (And they jingle. A lot. In fact, I've been told to
take them off during plays because they jingle. Never did it
though ^_^)
5) At some point there has to be a sound cue that goes wrong.
For example, in the last play we did we had to have a gunshot
go off to START the thing. It couldn't start without the
gunshot - and the cap gun got stuck.
I think that's all with the list. Hopefully I'm not too
demanding ~grins~ But I LOVE THIS! I love it I love it I love
it! I love things that feature plays and backstage work and
all of that (I am SUCH a nerd). Keep going! Seriously! I
wanna see what all happens! And ~criiiiiiiiiiiiinge~ I'm such
a horrible person in the keeping-up-with-correspondance
department, but I SWEAR you'll get a letter from me before
the week is out! You will, I promise! I'll have a much more
elaborate review in there too! Ja neeeeeee!

Wonderful! I can't wait to see how this

I would love to be allowed to be in the audience, perhaps as
a critic (since I am president of a community theatre
troupe!)? I adored White Stones, I think it's one of the best
things I have ever read — and I am also way, way, way, way
