| A very special thank you to all who made our first daylily season a great success. We enjoyed all of our old and the new friends we made this year. F and D Daylily Gardens has four gardens in the Houston, Texas area, These gardens are the result of the merging of Franklin's Daylily Farm and Johnson's Daylily Patch. The owners are Frank Krampota and Dick Johnson. Frank has been in the daylily business for about 30 years and Dick is a newcomer with about 12 years experience. Visitors are always welcome to visit any or all of our gardens. Please call for an appointment to insure that one of us available at whatever garden(s) you wish to tour. This past June one of our gardens was flooded due to Tropical Storm Alecia. As a result we had a considerable loss of daylily plants in this garden. The General Listing/Price List indicates what plants we currently have available for sale. Our gardens are RUST FREE. Over the years Frank and Dick have done a bit of hybridizing in two of the gardens and evaluate about 11,000 seedlings every year. You will notice that some seedlings hybridized by Leo Divin are included in the section entitled A Few Seedlings. Leo is a close friend of ours and you will notice, when you view his images, that a great part of his hybridizing focuses heavily on cultivars with beautiful double and triple edges We feature our own Daylily Introductions and will be registering at least four with the AHS this fall. They are listed and for sale in the spring. If you are interested please contact us. WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN ORDERING DAYLILIES FROM F AND D Guarantee All of our plants are freshly dug by Frank or Dick.
