This project This project aims at Development of Database of Researchers & Researches, establishment of the Research council, Management Board, Social Sciences Secretariat, Research Library, National/ International Linkage Program, Research Grant

This project involves installation of Local Area Networks and provision of an Intranet system to enable internal electronic communications and office automation at the President and Prime Minister's Secretariats and the 8 related departments of AJK government. The Intranet system has E-Mail, Calendar/Scheduling, Address Book, Search & User Interface, Files & Resource Management and Office productivity software features.

This project This project aims at establishment of the Video Conferencing System for GoAJK by Installing three Multi VCS Access and 16 Single VCS Access Points

It aims at The Establishment of Computer Labs at 45 Government High School at District Headquarters in Azad Jammu & Kashmir for the training of approximately 4800 students in two years in various prescribed IT fields.

It aims at The Establishment of Two IT Training Institutes At Divisional Headquarters in Azad Jammu & Kashmir for the training of approximately 6500 government employees in three years in various prescribed IT fields.

It aims at The Establishment of Computer Labs at 47 Government Inter Colleges in Azad Jammu & Kashmir for the training of approximately 3000 students in two years in various prescribed IT fields. This project has to be outsourced to the private sector that will establish the 47 Inter Colleges.

To develop the basic infrastructure of e-government, all the Government Departments are proposed to be interlinked through the establishment of Wide Area Network under this scheme. This is a mega project of AJK IT Board Muzaffarabad of PKR 100 million. The departments would be connected through wireless link in Muzaffarabad Secretariat. A wireless link would be established among different districts for communication

As part of the E-Government program, AJK IT Board undertaking automation of Deputy Commissioner's Office at all districts in AJK. The following services will be automated:
i. Domicile Certificate issuance
ii. Arm Licenses
iii. State Subject
iv. Complaint Management System
 

A number of IT projects have been initiated and executed by the AJK Information Technology Department. �The Establishment of Seven Training Institutes at District Headquarters in Azad Jammu & Kashmir�, is one of the most important project of 74.8 million Pak rupees among others, for realization of a basic objective of IT Master Implementation Plan namely; Computer Mass Literacy. The project is basically a sub component of IT Master Implementation Plan of AJK Government. It aims at The Establishment of Seven IT Training Institutes at District Headquarters in Azad Jammu & Kashmir for the training of approximately 9800 youths in four years in various prescribed IT fields. The project is in the implementation Phase.

It aims at The Establishment of IT cabins in the premises of different offices of Information Department and provide them data entry operators that manage the information preceding digitally.

Wullernet is the largest Internet providing company in AJK with its 0.1 million telephone based subscribers. For more information about Wullernet (http://www.wuller.net.pk/) .The main source of revenue of the company is billing to its subscribers. The management needs on-line billing and subscriber information for planning and decision-making. The objective of the project was to provide information to management on different levels as well as to the subscribers about their telephone billing:
1 The system provides status of regular subscribers.
2 The system provides revenue deposited at different banks throughout the country.
3 The system provides lists of preferred and top hundred customers from each region and throughout the country as well.
4 The system generates list of defaulters and list of disconnected subscribers.
5 The system generate a summarized report about the revenue collected from different types of facilities availed by the subscribers.
6 The system provide complete billing details of past six months to the subscribers
 

The project aims the following objectives.

1. Establishment of Computer Labs in 35 Govt. Degree Colleges.
2. Installment of Computers, Servers, and LAN infrastructure.
3. Teaching the Syllabus prescribed by the AJK Board and University of AJK.
4. Appointment of staff that can teach the syllabus in colleges.
5. Purchase of IT and Non IT equipment
 

The project aims the following objectives.

1. Development of an IT board to act as consultancy body for setup of IT Master Implementation Plan in different Government Organizations.
2. Establishment of the Infrastructure to create IT culture in AJK.
3. Provision a Base Camp that can be used to develop Computerized, Automation and Information Communication technology within the government Organizations
4. Establishment of a Web Portal where all the government Web Sites can be hosted so the Online government activities can be initiated.
5. Appointment of staff that can plan and execute IT Projects in AJK.
6. Purchase of IT and Non IT equipment
