Famous James Motorcycles

Company Profile

Hi Y'all!

Just a little background information about my company...

I got my first James in 1948 from money saved from my newspaper route. It was a
'46 model ML, well used and just a little abused (but I loved it like a brother!). It
sounded sweet, ran good (and it even smelled good, well may it just smelled
different!). By the time I was 17 I had cornered the James market in Abilene, Texas.
I assembled the best bits from the lot and sold them off one by one until I had
enough money to purchase a new Triumph 6T ThunderBird. I really loved the Bird,
but always remembered my old James bikes and the fun I had with them. Around
1970 I found and purchased a new old stock ML in a bicycle dealers storage.
Well, my love for the James bike blossomed and since then I have restored and sold
many, many of the ML bikes.

My professional restoration skills are not limited to the James (although it is my
favorite) as I have just finished a 1936 Y13 B.S.A. I retired a few years back and
have since devoted my time to British two strokes. I own three 1938 Comets, one
6E, and six ML's. My inventory also includes a lot of new old stock James and
Villiers parts.

I have a complete shop facility located at my home, where I manufacture (and sell)
ML exhaust system chainguards, tool boxes, and many other unobtainable small
parts. I have also acquired a sizable stack of Villiers parts books. If you're need
to find a bit more information, visit Old Bike Mart, the source for British bikes,
parts, vendors, and the like.
