| James Edward Perrin (Jim) was born in Texas on January 3, 1856 to James Madison and Virginia Gardner Perrin. He lived his early years in Franklin County, Texas. Sometime before 1900 he moved to Houston in Harris County. He died August 22, 1935. His obituary below lists his 3 children; Virginia Tennessee (Tennie), Nancy Elizabeth (Bessie), and Edward Leon (Lonnie). Jim is buried at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston. |
| Jim married Maleta E. Stephens (abt. 1852 - abt. 1882) on May 1, 1878. They had 3 children: Tennie (1879 - 1945), Bessie (1880 - 1968), and Curtis who died around 9 years old (abt. 1881 - abt. 1890). After Maleta died, Jim married her sister, Angeline (Angie) Stephens on October 25, 1882. They had a son, Lonnie (1886 - 1978). Angie died about 1888. Jim was married at least 2 more times. In the 1910 census for Harris County he was married to Annie ? and this was his fourth marriage. In the obituary it states that he was married but his wife's name is not listed. |

| In April 2007, we ordered a stone for Jim. In August, it was placed on his grave. Jim lies between Burrel Clanton and Edward Spencer. |
