Happy Flag Day to all the Waube-donians!
Well, I said I'd let you know about summer school. THEY LOVE IT! Taylor is speaking everything she knows in Spanish. Hola, Como estas ustad, blah, blah, blah. Michael teases her saying "we speak American in this house." But she ignores his humor and continues on. Tay's enjoying it, so that's what counts.
Nick is loving the gardening class he got "stuck" in. He said last night "you know Mom, gardening isn't work like I thought it would be. It's fun. You get dirty". Out of the mouth's of boys! Well good, he can finish my shade garden for me. This new found responsibility has flowed over into other things as well. For the last 2 nights he's made dinner! Ravioli and texas toast one night, Chef salad's the next. I can get used to this.
Michael is all of a sudden overwhelmed with working side jobs nonstop. Getting home late at night and spending weekends on them as well. Not to mention trying to do some volunteer work at the Church and Fairgrounds. One of Michael's friends, who is a Sawyer County Deputy, just left for FBI training. He is going to Iraq to train police officers there for a year, maybe two. So he is finishing up drywall work for him and his wife who remains in Winter to keep the home fires burning.
So that's that from Ojibwa. Joe, Beth and family leave for Florida today. She said they'll be back on July 1st. Have a safe trip guys, and hurry home. We love you. |
