A quick update...
December 1, 2005
OK - so forgive me.  I forgot to put on an update about the deer hunters.  Oops.  My bad.  From what I can tell by all the "stories" I've had to endure - I mean enjoy - the guys had another great year.  They ended up with 5 does, and of course I forgot to snag a picture of it.  But a good time was had by all.  They didn't get out the last day because of an ice storm, but the salters were out and everything was better by noon.  So everyone decided to call it a season and head home.  BUT - I don't know as if any of my guys care about the kill as much as they care about the comradarie, no matter what they say. So with that said - on to the really great news...

For the first time in her school career... Taylor has made the High Honor Roll at Hayward Middle School!!  Both the kids are good students, but this is the first time either of their names have ever been printed in the student column of the local newspaper and she was VERY excited, as were we.  Of course we were as proud as could be and I wanted to share the happy news.  I'll scan the newspaper in if I can.

In addition to that, Taylor has recently become Hamburger Haven's newest employee!  hee hee.  Seriously though, for school everyone in her class had to fill out an employment application for a "job".  Then out of all the applications, only 5 kids were picked for interviews.  She did so well that she and one other student were asked back for a 2nd interview.  She got the phone call last night that she got the job!  You should have seen her dancing around the living room, beaming from ear to ear.  :-)   For all of her hard work she won a free movie pass and now has the honor of being hired from out of her entire "Careers" class. Needless to say, we are all proud of our little frycook.

Nickers had another reward skating party yesterday, but unfortunately got stuck with a pair of skates that rubbed his little foot raw.  Said he couldn't even skate the last half hour.  :-(  He was a bit bummed.  But it was still fun to get out of school for a few hours and just goof around with his buds he said.

And that's it.  Just wanted to make sure I corrected my unforgettable error about the hunt, and brag a little about my girly.  We are very proud of our kids.

From our house to yours....rabbit - rabbit - rabbit!  Only 24 days left (as Nick informed me this morning.)
