History

False Sense of Pride was started by me (gavin) and Nat in september of 2002. Like most other bands it started off out of boredom. Our first song was "Osama" which we stopped playing  because im sure you can guess what it was about. We wrote some other songs like "i watched it die" and "paul smirnoff" around the same time.

We played our first couple of shows at parties and school dances then found ourselves a show at stardust. They ended up spelling "sense" wrong on all our posters so we decided to keep it with a "C" but eventually went back to the proper spelling of the word so people wouldn't think we're illiterate morons. After awhile the whole two man band idea got kindof boring so we started to teach our neighbor Brent Mcdougall how to play the bass.

After a few shows Brent still hadn't improved and wasn't practicing so i gave him the boot. After a couple weeks Shawn Broddy who i knew from baseball came to practice and picked everything up pretty quick. He was two and a half times better than Brent so we asked him to be in the band.

In November of 2003 Shawn invited guitarist Dan Neufeld to a practice and it went good. He was in the band for a couple months and played a few awesome shows. Then an argument took place and Shawn and Dan left to start their own band. Nothing ever happened with their "band" so Shawn came back to play with FSOP. So the band rests at three.
