This is my cassiopeia EM-500. For those who are uniniated it is a pocket pc featuring most of the common software packages to be found on a desktop pc in mobile form such as word, excel media player. notepad, explorer and so on.
It is capable of playing mp3 files, video clips and movies. The EM-500 can also record voice with its inbuilt microphone.
As well as all this it can also act as a personal organiser with calendar and reminder functions. |

Pocket PC's use the Windows CE oporating system which is a cut down version of the desktop Windows. It was written from scratch by Microsoft specifically for mobile computing. Much like desktop pc's the pocket pc can also have software installed on it. There are many sites that offer software for download, some is freeware, some is shareware. You can also buy software online and because they are generally only a few megabytles in size downloading is the prefered option for the vendors. Some high street retailers do sell software, but the choice is limited so it is better to do online shopping for pocket pc software purely due to the choice and availability. |
