This does not only affect the male population but also the concept of femininity as the complement of the masculine. Many women complain that there aren't any good men around. Everyone is affected by things like divorce, family breakup, crime, abortion, suicide, . . .
The most amazing thing is that as creatures in the image of God, we find our vocation is a reflection of God's perfections. As a mother is caring and nurturing, so is God. As a father is a protector and provider, so is God. Unfortunately relying on my memory (I usually write these from my notes) I'm sure I'm missing some good points but hopefully this gives you some idea. Fr.
