These images have angered many people. They
have angered Muslims for a totally different reason. These images
depict the crude expression of how Muslims feel about America and
the West. But these are images they do not want you to see. They
think they undermine the rights of the Palestinians. I hope
for peace. But I question how peace is possible with this much
hate? Let us not hide our heads under the sand. We Muslims have a
lot of soul searching to do. For how long shall we live in
denial? Something is terribly wrong with us. We are filled
with hate. How can we make peace with those whom we
hate so intensely?
I am not writing to endear myself with one
group or another.
I am not here to collect votes. But to call humanity to
unity and tell them the truth. If that truth hurts someone so be
it! “Only truth will set us free”. We
should each look at our own faults before pointing fingers at the
faults of our neighbors and sweeping our own dirt under the
carpet.
While many Islamists celebrated, thousands of
Iranians poured into the streets to show their solidarity with the
families of the victims of the terrorist attack at America.
They wept bitterly. They were beaten by agents of Islamic
regime and many were taken to custody. The difference between the
Iranians and the Palestinians is that over 50% of Iranians do no
more believe in Islam. Many of those Iranians who still are
Muslims were as jubilant as the Palestinians in the above
pictures.
It is not our nationality that
defines our humanity. It is our beliefs.
