Still alive, and I'm not the only one
So, I really need to try and write everyday, or at least every couple of days, otherwise all my motivation slips away. We did fairly well with our week of no TV, although we actually only made it to 5 days. Still, a good effort I believe, and we have both been watching less TV since.

So what else has been happening? The farm dream died pretty much as quickly as it came. One of the other families couldn't really afford to do it, and for that matter, neither could we. I shouldn't say the dream has died, because it is definitely still something I want to do one day. But the particular patch of land I was eyeing is probably not going to be ours anytime soon, if ever.

Other than that, we have just been trying to clean out our spare room and get it ready for a new arrival in October. We found out about 2 weeks ago that I am pregnant, and we are expecting our first little munchkin on October 15. That makes me 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant today. I have been keeping a separate pregnancy journal (barefoot and pregnant) so that for those of you not interested in reading about morning sickness and itchy skin and all the rest of it, don't have to be bombarded with it here. As I get bigger I will be posting belly photos. But for now, there are all sorts of wonderful updates about this journey we are embarking on. Much excitement in our household at the moment.

This is what our munchkin looks like this week!

Reading
Your Vegetarian Pregnancy
by Holly Roberts

I have been a little lazy with trying to avoid eating meat lately, which is silly, because I need to be healthy now more than ever. This book should help me feel better and grow a healthy little bean!
