BJD companies have different prices for local and international buyers. This can be due to several causes, like mantaining a web in english or paying export taxes, but as you can see in the detailed list at the bottom of this page, every company has their own figures.
The currency values goes up and down everyday. As international prices are usually marked in USD we understand that there can be some difference beween price in local currency and price in USD. It is reasonable that the prices in USD were always a little higher than in local currency, to prevent that sudden ups and downs of the currency value make them lose money. But in some companies the difference is not that little.
As customers, we have the right to choose.
This web page provides a list of local and international prices for several ball jointed dolls so you can decide if the difference between the two prices is significative for you or not, and then purchase the doll directly from the international site, look for a local shopping agent to purchase the doll for you, or not purchase the doll at all. The choice is always yours
Some of us have personally decided to stop buying dolls from some companies until they lower their international prices. Until then we will just buy on sales and events. You are free to do it so, or not. This website provides you the information, it's your choice what you will do next.
