| 'TAINUI' was formerly known as 'Huon Quest' and was
designed by Doug Petersen at and built at Formosa Yachts in Taiwan in 1976. She was launched in 1979 and was previously owned by Hedley Calvert, who sailed her in the 1980 Sydney to Hobart. You can read about her in his book, 'Always a Competitor.' GRP hull, 46' length and 13' 3" beam - about 18 tons, with a 6' 6" draft and skeg hung rudder. Rigged as a cutter, with a large centre cockpit and two good sized cabins with ensuites. |
