The Great Khemri
Assembly
Part Two: An Undead DIY Project (I Stuck What Together????
Fun with Superglue.)
The picture above shows half of the boxed set and its associated extra white metal (on the left) after clipping and filing. Each of the miniatures with the exception of the one piece mummy consists of: legs, a loincloth, a chest section, right arm, left arm, shoulder pads (or knee pads depending upon positioning), a head and an optional collar section. As they were now clean, it was just a matter of not spilling the debris on the way to the rubbish bin and connecting the leg bone to the chest bone and so on....
Pin vise at the ready, I started drilling. And drilling, and yet more drilling with a bit of clipping for good measure. The picture to the  left shows a chest section drilled and with the first pin glued in (the one to connect it to the leg section). The picture to the right shows a second pin glued in to connect the head later on. The chest sections come with a rudimentary 'neck' to hang the heads on, but it did not look terribly secure. Therefore, I clipped off the 'necks' and resorted to pinning for the skeletal linemen.

Below to the left is a glued 'body' for a Ra figure. For them, I assembled the chest to the legs and clipped the neck but did feel the need for a pin as the collar and head sections were in one piece and looked as if they would assemble a bit more easily and sturdily than the linemen ones.

Directly below is a leg section, which has been drilled in preparation to receive the pin which was already glued into a chest section. Apologies for the picture, but if you look about the center of the 'hips' you can see the hole.
This line up shows figures in various stages of assembly. From left to right they are: A skeletal lineman body assembled and modified. Second in is another lineman body this time with an untrimmed pin waiting for loin cloth, arms, shoulder pads. collar and head. The middle figure has its arms glued on but missing other components. The next figure is a Blitz-Ra (alligator head) with arms posed and glued. It still needs its shoulder pads, but does have all other parts. Finally on the right is a Thro-Ra (vulture head) who is completely assembled. Note that the shoulder pads are glued to both the arms and the collar/head to help keep the miniature together.
