Failing English: A Band Review

Failing English is a punk band made up of four talented young men: Pat,
Rick, Drew, and Chris. They mostly play venues in St. Louis, but I had the
opportunity to hear them in Springfield at the Juke Joint. Failing English
is one of the best local punk bands I've ever heard. Their form of pop punk
is a great blend of sounds.

"We've always tried to blend the pop/ punk/ radio friendly sounds with
the more underground punk, metal, and emo scenes. We try to make new and
inspiring music available to as many people as possible," said Pat McCurren
of Failing English.

I would urge everyone who wants to hear punk music in a smaller setting
to catch one of their shows. A list of upcoming shows can also be found on
their website.
