Romania, a country that touched my heart and stirred my soul. Within my life, Romania lay under the rule of an iron-fisted dictator and in the shadow of communism. It had modern day rulers that almost rivaled their infamous Vlad Tepes (Dracula), and yet its people have kept hold of their Latin love for life that even poverty hasn't suppressed. The gypsies and beggars, the dirt and poverty, all of it made the countryside and castles more beautiful, and the country more real than most. I think I love their country almost as much as they love mine. Laurie, if you ever read this, remember Romania is a wonderful place too.
