The Human Problem
Humility once a virtue
now lost to anger
Neighbors argue with malice
drive-by shootings
violent crime.

Gluttons continue
as paupers look hungrily on.
Parents party endlessly
as children cry
scared and lonely

Guns and war
ravage nations
Revenge and destruction
are the primary drive.
Peace a long forgotten fairy tale.

Mother nature caught in the crossfire.
Forests destroyed in the blink of an eye.
Animals viciously hunted for sport
Pets murdered by man's idiocy
Man on his self proclaimed pedestal
ignores the cries

Years of learning wasted
God's gifts thrown to the wind
Man continues to raise himself up
Only to fall by his own hand
He will bring about what will cause him to die.

Mankind -- the disease,
the plague,
the virus to all of
God's innocent creations.
