| Five by Five
Bad boy rating **** |
When it seemed Angel was getting in his
and his client's way, Lindsey sends Faith to kill
him.
When Angel breaks into Lindsey's office looking for Faith, it seems that the young lawyer has no problem with his evil lifestyle and also has a slight sense of humor. |
Sanctuary
Bad boy rating **** |
Being a lawyer, he is also a skilled liar. This is evident in Sanctuary He tells Faith that they would never kill a human being, but when Faith breaks down and seeks Angel's protection, Lindsey has no problem sending another assassin to kill her. When that fails, we learn that Lindsey has a manipulative side. He takes advantage of Kate Lockley's hatred of Angel to get her to arrest him for harboring Faith. This plan is also thwarted when Faith turns herself in. |
| Blind Date
Bad boy rating: *
|
By now, Lindsey is established as an evil
lawyer and villain, with no morals and interested only in his general welfare.
But this is not completely true as seen in Blind Date.
Lindsey seems distracted and he is further unnerved by blind assassin Vanessa
Brewer. Holland Manners, his boss notices his
distraction and discovers Lindsey is not happy with his work. But
that does not stop Holland from informing Lindsey that Vanessa plans to
kill three children. Lindsey finds that line he cannot cross and
turns to Angel for help to save the children. Angel, at first does
not accept Lindsey's "redemption". We learn Lindsey grew up poor and figured
out that people either have power or do not. He wants to be one who does.
He has very little respect for his father and lost two siblings from the
flu. (Though it is unknown how much this is true, since Lindsey has
lied in the past). Angel is uninterested in what he is saying until he
mentions that Brewer's plans to kill the children. Angel convinces
Lindsey to help him rescue the children which they need to do by breaking
in to the vault at Wolfram and Hart. Lindsey agrees to go, despite that
he could easily lose his life. During the break in at the vault,
Angel steals the disks and the scroll of Aberjian. This sets off
an alarm which gets Lindsey caught. Holland however decides to spare
Lindsey.
Lindsey and Angel save the children from Brewer. In this scene, we see that Lindsey may have a soft spot for children, when he comforts the three children after Angel kills Brewer. For some unknown reason, Lindsey returns the disks to Wolfram and Hart. Holland is not upset over Lindsey's betrayal, but actually impressed over his standing up to Wolfram and Hart. Holland offers him promotion and despite telling Holland "You may not know me as well as you think you do," Lindsey accepts Holland's offer and turns his back on redemption. Lindsey is still impressed by the power of Wolfram and Hart when he touches his new desk at the end of the episode. |
To Shanshu in
LA
Bad boy rating: *** |
In To Shanshu in LA, Angel seems unfazed by Lindsey's return to Wolfram and Hart. Lindsey has returned to the evil lawyer of Five by Five and is trying to make up for what he's done in Blind Date. During the raising, he takes over the ritual when Angel breaks in and fights with Vocah. Despite Holland and the others abandoning him when he is knocked unconscious, Lindsey still pledges his loyalty to Wolfram and Hart by refusing to give Angel back the scroll (which would save Cordelia). When he tries to burn it, Angel cuts off Lindsey's right hand. In the last sequence, Lindsey's right hand is in a cast. Though he gives Holland a dirty look when Holland gives him a speech about his "sacrifice", Lindsey seems determined to seek vengeance on Angel, but it is unknown is he has any bitterness against Wolfram and Hart. |

On the way to his car, Lindsey attempts to make a call from his cell phone when Angel comes up behind him and tries to strangle him. Lindsey thrusts the phone at him showing him that he had just called Angel Investigations. Despite the hatred, Lindsey pleads with Angel to find Darla before they kill her. Redefinition
Bad boy rating: *** 1/2 |
In Redefinition, Lindsey awakes under a
pile of deceased Lawyers. He pushed his way out of the pile.
While being treated by paramedics, Lindsey seems like he's in daze.
He comments the Darla saved him by not killing him. The paramedic tells
him he's in shock and should go to the hospital. Lindsey snaps out of his
daze when he learns that Darla and Dru also spared Lilah.
At the office, Lindsey is receiving stares from people. He meets up with Lilah who is also receiving the same stares. Lilah is worried that one of them will be a scapegoat. Lindsey does not seem to care. They both enter Lindsey's office and are startled to find Darla and Dru waiting for them. Darla assures them that if she had planned to kill them, she would have done it in the wine cellar. Lindsey closes the door and asks Darla why she spared him. She goes to him and puts her arm around him then tells him she's in love with him. Then she laughed. Lindsey does not like the response, but does not say anything about it. Instead he tells her she had put him into a difficult position. She explains that she killed the boss and he could take over. Lindsey tells her that it's possible that either he or Lilah will die because of the massacre. Darla tells them that at least one of them will live and serve as her liaison. She explains that although she did not like being used, she wants to stay in contact with W&H. She further explains that she wants power. When Lindsey brings up Angel, Darla gets angry and tells him that she'd spent 250 years without him and wonders if Lindsey thinks she's gone "gooey". Lindsey tells her no that he figured she would kill him. Later on, Lilah shows up in Lindsey's office. She says she is tired of waiting to see what happens and that the two of them should run from Wolfram and Hart. Lindsey explains that if they did W&H would hunt them down. Lilah tells him that won't happen if they steal files. Lindsey touches Lilah's face as to kiss her, then removes the microphone from her blouse. He explains that it doesn't matter what either of them will do, either of them could be the scapegoat. Darla talks to Drusilla about their plans and is pretty certain that Lindsey will cover her financially. Back at the W&H offices, Lindsey and Lilah learn there fate. They are both chastised for failures, but the W&H guy believes there competition has been healthy. They are both being promoted to Holland's position. |
| Blood Money
|

instead of tormenting him. Lindsey doesn't care. He wants Angel
dead. Later he discovers Angel has been taking to Anne, a woman who
runs a teen shelter where Wolfram and Hart plan to steal money from.
Lindsey goes to Anne just as Angel is there, and plays concern with her.
He brings Boone along and Angel and Boone fight. Angel indicates

thinks that Lilah was the one that leaked information to Angel. Lindsey
doubles security on the charity event.
At the charity event, Lindsey looks for Angel. Boone shows up and Angel and he fight. The fight disrupts the charity event. Lindsey realizes that Boone and Angel are actually working together and believes Anne has a tape of evidence. He chases her down with Lilah following while being recorded on camera. Anne plays the tape and it turns out to be a tape of Cordelia and Wesley. Lindsey then realizes that he was set up. Angel sought to humiliate him and to steal the money that W&H plan to steal. After being chastise by their boss, Lindsey asks why they just can't kill Angel. The boss tells them that Angel plays an important role in the apocalypse and needs to be on the side of Wolfram and Hart. Reprise
Bad boy rating= **1/2 |
Lilah catches up to Lindsey in the office.
She is frantic. He tells her he is going to lunch. She wonders
how he could be so calm when the Wolfram and Hart 75 year review is coming
up and many people tend to get terminated during it. She tells him
they should be doing all kinds of things to look good in the eyes of the
senior partners. Lindsey tells her it does not matter and last minute
groveling will not help. Lilah remarks that she hopes Darla won't
decided to show up.
Lindsey comes home and talks to someone in his apartment that he was sorry he could not make it home. The person he was talking to is Darla. She is lying on the couch and still has scars from the torching. Lindsey hands her a bottle of blood, she tells him it's cold. He said that is to keep it fresh. She tells him there are other ways to keep it warm. They talk about how Drusilla came to him and how he found Darla in the sewers. Darla said that Dru had left and that everyone has left her. Lindsey assures her he won't. Lindsey tells her he is going to take a shower. Darla tells him he always takes a shower when he comes home even if he isn't dirty. He replies "I'm always dirty." After he leaves the room, Darla rolls her eyes and gets up and looks at the files Lindsey had brought home. At the review while waiting for the Senior partner to show up, Angel shows up instead and reveals that Darla is also there. Angel and Darla fight and Angel steals the glove from her. When Lilah and some security guards try to stake Darla, Lindsey hits Lilah and the other security guard. Enabling Darla to escape. Darla gives him a look of gratitude as she's leaving. Then Lilah gives him a glare. |
Epiphany
Bad boy rating: *** |
Lindsey returns home to find a depressed
Darla waiting for him. He wants to know where she's been. He
tells her Wolfram and Harts orders are to stake her on sight. Darla
does not respond, she seems despondent. Lindsey sees she has the
ring from the Senior Partner. He demands to know where she got it.
She says it doesn't matter because it doesn't work. She says it was
her payment and Lindsey starts to understand something happened between
her and Angel. He demands to know all of it.
Lindsey and Darla are sitting on the couch. It's obvious she told him what happened. He goes to his closet and pulls out a pair of cowboy boots... Angel decided to take on the Skilosh demons while sending Gunn and Wesley up ahead. He's about to fight them when they all scatter. The reason is that Angel is hit dead on by an old beat up pick up truck driven by Lindsey. He repeatedly hits Angel. When he thinks Angel is down, he steps out of the truck and pulls out a sledgehammer. He hits Angel with it repeated demanding that he tell him what happened. When Angel refuses, Lindsey heads back to the truck to get a stake. Angel gets up and meets him there. Angel beats him up while apologizing. In the end Angel smashes his fake hand. Lindsey looks at the broken hand in astonishment. Finally Angel knocks him unconscious and steals his truck. The next morning, Lindsey finds his smashed truck in front of his apartment with a note that says "Thanks". He goes into his apartment to find Darla and all her stuff gone. |
|
Lindsey wakes up only a few minutes before
his arm clock goes off. He turns it off with his stump. He shaves
and does everything with the one hand. He opens the closet and finds
the ties preknoted. He sees a guitar case in the back of the closet.
At the meeting of the division heads, Lilah and Lindsey are talking about a case. Lindsey recommends the company confess, Lilah rebuffs him, but Lindsey explains the company will do better if they confess now instead of a long trial. Lindsey continually overshoots Lilah. After the meeting Reed says he will reevaluated the division. Lilah thinks that one of them will be promoted over the other. Reed calls Lindsey into his office. He tells him he seems a little obsessive over Angel. Reed said he has cleared Lindsey's calendar for something important. Lindsey goes to a clinic where they explain he will be getting a new hand. While the hand is being attached, a demon enters and says an enchantment and the wound heals. Lindsey wakes up looks at his left hand, then his right, when he sees the guitar, he plays a few bars. At a meeting, Lilah and Lindsey are again in competition with each other to impress a client. Lindsey has the upper hand (no pun intended). However when he looks at what he just wrote, all it is "Kill" written several times. Lindsey abruptly leaves the meeting. At home, Lindsey is trying to write. He stabs the hand several times. He asks the hand "who are you?" Angel and group enter Cartias to someone singing. The groups look up and startled to find Lindsey singing. Wesley, Cordy and Gunn are impressed, but once Angel gets over his shock, he starts making fun of Lindsey's singing. Wesley, Cordelia, Gunn and the Host tell him to shut up. The Host explains that Lindsey used to come all the time until someone cut off his hand. After Lindsey is finished, he asked the host about the hand. Angel cuts in about the singing and Lindsey gets mad about Angel being here. The hosts says they are both here for the same thing. Lindsey gets even more Mad when he realizes he has to work with Angel. He walks out telling Angel if he sees him outside the club he's going to kill him. Lindsey breaks into Reed's office to find information about the hand. While leaving, he spots Lilah taking files. Lindsey's lead takes him to a parole officer's apartment. When Lindsey can't verified that he works for Wolfram and Hart, the officer slams him against the table. Angel throws something though the window. The man grabs Lindsey and puts a gun to his head. He screams that he'll kill Lindsey unless Angel shows himself. Angel grabs the guy with a rope and pulls him out the window. Lindsey gets mad and argues with Angel that that's his lead. Angel managed to get the info from the guy about where he took the man (Bradley) who's hand Lindsey is wearing. On route to the place in Angel's car, Angel tells Lindsey that he does not seem happy. Lindsey rebukes him, but it seems true. The place that Bradley was taken looks like a travel agency, Lindsey explains that it probably has a lot of W&H security. He says he wished he brought his laptop. Angel doesn't understand. Lindsey explains he could use it to break in. Angel says "why don't we just fight." Lindsey lifts his fists as to fight, but Angel obviously wants to fight his way in. The two of them fight the goons guarding the place. After the goons are knocked out, Angel finds a false floor. Lindsey and Angel go downstairs and find a "body chop shop." Angel explains this is what Wolfram and Hart do. Lindsey seems shaken by what is going on. Angel leads Lindsey over to Bradley. Bradley is missing several body parts including the hand Lindsey is now wearing. Lindsey remembers Bradley from working with him in the mailroom. Bradley asks Lindsey to kill him. Lindsey asks Angel what to do, Angel tells him that's his decision. Lindsey turns off Bradley's life support, then starts trashing the room. Angel opens some oxygen tanks and asks Lindsey to help them take the people out. Lindsey and Angel help who they can before the building explodes. At a W&H meeting, Reed talks about how hard it is to let someone go. Lilah realizes it's her but before she can reach into her purse for her gun, Lindsey stops her. He tells her that he clearly got the position. Reed nods yes. Lindsey tells Lilah she just did not have what it takes-- an evil hand. Lindsey browbeats Reed how they gave him an evil hand. When Reed asks for a guard to stop Lindsey, Lindsey grabs the guard's gun and shoots him in the foot. He shoots at Reed while telling his evil hand to stop. Lindsey thanks Reed for the job, but tells him that Lilah would have been a better choice. Because she has files on them. Lindsey says he has evil hand issues and he's "bored with this crap." He tells Reed he is leaving. While departing, he wishes Lilah good luck and pinches her backside and explains it was his evil hand. Lindsey is putting his stuff and guitar in the back of his truck (the one From Epiphany). He is dressed down. Angel is standing in the back of the truck, touching it. The two have words, but it ends with Lindsey giving Angel a piece of advice. Don't play Wolfram and Hart's game, make them play yours. Angel thanks him and warns him about cops on the road. As Lindsey drives away, it is seen that Angel put a sign on the back on Lindsey's truck that says "Cops Suck." |
