It is a widely known fact that, much to the chagrin of the population of the various planes, that the Faceless Lords have returned.
Purportedly, the Lords desire to create a more orderly world, and a more organized way of existence. Some of them have spoken about the messiness of existence; that is, wars, personal greed, maleficent behavior, etc. To the population of the many worlds, the Faceless Lords are the heroes that the people need; the people just don't know that yet. According to the Faceless Lords, the people are always slow to recognize wisdom and altruism when it comes to them.
Unfortunately, the only way this can be achieved is by the reduction of consciousness of most people. As long as free will bogs down individual's decisions, their morality will be more than a little skewed.
