Vanness finally is going solo for his singing career! Yesterday just his first MTV had used 1000 people in the shooting. Among them are fans from Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. They took the earliest flight to Taiwan and will return by taking the last flight. They do all this just to get the chance to be in Vanness's MTV. Earlier on, SonyMusic only intended to get 500 fans to help out in Vanness's MTV but as the thing get started, many fans rush to participate and within half a day, all 500 places are being taken and with no choice, SonyMusic must expand the number of people. All 1000 places were taken within a day. SonyMusic apologise to all the fans who came after as they have to care about the location and the wideness of the place as well as not to disturb the neighbourhood at that area during shooting. Though 1000 people were at the place but they were all in good behaviours. There's even a security group formed by the fans themselves to maintain the security and the behaviours of the fans. F4's Vanness finally released his very own solo album. Yesterday he held a pre-ordering session at the famous place of Taipei, Xi Men Ding and attracted lots of fans to the place. Jerry even suddenly appeared at the session to give Vanness a surprise and he was more excited than Vanness and kept on saying, "This is the nicest album!" Vanness became the 2nd member in F4 to released his own solo album and Vanness faced quite some stress too. He set himself a target of 150 thousands album. Yesterday's pre-ordering session altogether attracted 20 thousand people and many CD-Shop in Taiwan even asked for more stocks since the response is over-whelming. SonyMusic is very confident of Vanness's album - Shen Ti Hui Chang He(name of Vanness's album is body can sing). Many of the fans queued up 3 days back just to be able to be closer to Vanness. There's one fans from Hong Kong who bought 50 CDs at one go. SonyMusic even thought that she was trying to get signatures and sell out the Cd but later they realised that she was the representative of the Hong Kong fans. Some fans even stayed on the stage and refused to go since they wanted Vanness to recognise their faces to get the role of Vanness's MTV female role. The pre-ordering session's response is very good and Vanness felt very happy. Jerry's sudden appearance also surprised Vanness. They even hugged together as a greeting. Vanness asked Jerry why is he here? Jerry replied, "I was here to buy album!" and he lift up the album and said to everyone, "This is the nicest album! Never Buy Pirated!" Belonging to the same company, Lee Hom, Coco and Zaizai met each other in Beijing for the MTV Awards Ceremony. This is their first time meeting. All 3 are very busy lately, Coco will be returning to America to record her new english songs, Lee Hom is shooting in Japan and Zaizai shooting Meteor Garden 2. Returning from Spain, Zaizai actually put on 3kg. Though he kept saying he wanted to go on diet but once he arrived in Beijing, he kept eating all sorts of Beijing's famous delicacy. Looking at the whole table of food, Zaizai revealed that he don't care about going on diet anymore. "I will look better on screen with a little fats!" Zaizai replied. - Ming Sheng Bao[30/07/02]
Zaizai just came back from Beijing for an award ceremony and news started to spread about him. China's media reported on Zaizai that he can't manage the reporters by himself and had to rely on his management assistant. Zaizai's management assistant, in anger, revealed that the news are rubbish because Zaizai manage the 80 thousands audience all by himself and even under the rain, he did not even get the umbrella. According to the news that say when having an interview with Zaizai in the hotel, the reporters were told not to ask about his quitting school stuffs, F4's future and whether there's any Meteor Garden 3 or not. During the interview, Zaizai laughed a lot and most of the questions, he either don't know how to answer or don't know whether he can say or not. He listened almost to his management assistant to help him. When asked how he felt about attending the ceremony? The management assistant was making a very happy sign and even claps her hands high up in the sky. Zaizai therefore replied very happy. Zaizai's management assistant, Cai Xiao Qian argued that, "Is not like that! During the interview, there's only the hosts for MTV and a few security guards inside. Those who claimed to be there are actually not that and so i also don't know where the interview come from?" Everyone has it's negatives and positives, language is Zaizai's negatives but this time many people praised Zaizai for his seriousness for even under the heavy rain, he did not even take the umbrella. F4's Pepsi ads will be showing soon in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and others. During their shooting in Japan, they woke up at 4 or 5am and have to work for hours under the hot sun. Jerry is the most pathetic one as he has to wear leather type clothes working under the 30 over degrees of temperature. F4 woo girls till Japan? The sweet-looking Grace just blink her eyes and Jerry can show out his speeding to go after the Pepsi van. He even fell down to the road and hurt himself. As for Zaizai, he only just gently press, the girl fall for him. Why? This is actually F4's latest ads for Pepsi. The whole crews set off to Japan, Okinawa for a 5 days shooting. Under the hot sun, F4 had to shoot this ads and Jerry suffered the most, he had to wore leather clothes and drive the car to chase after the van. Jerry fell twice and even got himself injured, making all the crew members to be worried. Zaizai suffered the least, he just need to gently flick his finger on the pepsi vending machine, the girl simply fall in love for him. Both Vanness and Ken praised Zaizai that only he can do it! The most fortunate model, Grace is actually from Taiwan and in order not to spread any news with F4, other than shooting, she simply stayed away from F4. "This is for her own good. Having a sunshine image, ABC's background, Vanness is among all the F4 members, the most active one. Vanness is always treating all people with courtesy despite his young age. Vanness revealed that is because of his past experience. Before he became a super star, he worked as a telephone operator in America. Vanness continued, "This is not a simple job, I have to pick over 100 phone calls each day. There's always lots of complaints and I have to be patient with them." Therefore because of this job, Vanness treated everyone very politely. Being the next F4 members after Zaizai to release his solo album, Body can sing, Vanness faced as much of pressure. In the first place when Vanness first came to Taiwan, his intention is to release his own solo album but that time he tried many times but was rejected by all the music company. Never expected that after acting in Meteor Garden, Vanness became super star overnight and following it is his release of solo album. Sony Music realised Vanness's talent in dancing and therefore even send him to Korea to learn dancing. In Korea, Vanness started practising dancing from 2pm to 10pm and only rest to have his meals. Vanness danced till he couldn't recognise his own legs. Vanness wanted to prove everyone that he is not depending on his face and really have the talent. Despite Vanness's active appearance, leaving his home and came alone to Taiwan can be very lonely for him especially at night. he missed home so much espescially this period of time, though his album already sell very well from pre-purchase but he still faced lots of pressure. The only way to reduce his pressure is to read the bible. When Vanness first came to Taiwan, he used to go out once every week with his friends to some pubs but all these night events make him even more lonely. F4 visited Hong Kong yesterday, attending the Pepsi ads first preview at a conference hall. Every places that F4 went, they attracted lots of fans to chase after them. At the airport, because the number of fans is really unexpected, they separated into 2 groups to get out. The squeezing is really untolerable. Each of them have at least 4 to 5 bodyguards around them. However even with so many bodyguards, the fans continued to bang hard on the path's mirrors, forcing F4 to walk far away from the mirrors. Because of the crowd, all 40 bodyguards have to form a human wall by holding hand in hand to guard F4 out. Along the way, there's fans chasing after them with their booked vans but luckily no accident happened. Arriving at the hotel, the amount of fans lessen as it was raining but their reactions are very excited and warm. The conference started and the hall can give way to 400 fans only. Many fans even wore blue tops to accomadate to the background colour. Being excited, Jerry even leave out his hand to shake with the fans, making many fans to be crazy. While jerry is doing that, Vic did not lost to Jerry. He used his most memorising eyes to have eye contacts with the fans umpteen times. From what we see during the Pepsi Ads preview in Hong Kong, we can clearly see how close are F4. F4 enjoyed a lot during the conference and humour the fans till very high. F4 is very excited also and even dance and sing. The fans were also very high. Just then the company pushed out a cake to celebrate Vanness's birthday. Zaizai, Jerry & Ken even sang "Make A Wish" for Vanness and the whole crowds of fans sing along, making Vanness very touched and nearly shed his tears. Vanness's 24th Birthday so what did the other F3 gave? Vanness revealed that their friendship is the best gift. Ken revealed that he gave a robot model to Vanness and Jerry said that the gift he gave can only be used by Vanness and cannot be revealed. Zaizai, being embarrassed said that he did not give any present and continued that during his birthday, he also asked Vanness not to give any gift. Zaizai jokingly said that he actually wanted to give him a sports car. The media are more concerned about Jerry's love life and not long ago, there's rumours of him and Cai Zi Ping. Being the translator, Ken never translate to Jerry what the reporter asked and just pad on Jerry's leg and said, "I think is time to tell them!" Vanness tanned himself and looked nicer with his frim muscle. Vanness is gonna say goodbye to his fair appearance. Vanness tanned himself by going for the "artificial sunlight" treatment which is very common in Taiwan. In the second song, Finding Juliet's MV, fans will be able to see Vanness's wonderful dance and his new tanned appearance. Having a fair skin is what every girls wanted but being a tall and built guy like Vanness who have a fair skin is more like a boy than a sunshine man. Therefore a month ago, Vanness went for a secret plan and that's to go to the beauty centre to go for the "artificial sunlight" treatment twice a week and 15 to 20 mins a time. Lately, the result finally show. Vanness not only tanned himself for this album, he is also going to dance out the style of Vanness to show all the fans the result of his learning in Korea. The MV director wanted Vanness to dance in the water and he need to dance over 100 times. Vanness even fell into the water several times and got himself bruises on his body. When he fall again, he lied on the water and laughed to himself and even splashed water, character still like a boy. Vanness also have a flying scene which wanted him to clip on to a wire to fly around. Because of the wire, Vanness's waist got rubbed till blisters formed. However Vanness did not complained about the pain but even told the team mates that he would like to fly again next time. To show his wonderful dance, Vanness will be holding his very own concert at 101(Taiwan's Superlive concert's location) for his All Asian Showcase New Song Released Concert on 13th. Fans will just have to bring along the wrist band which come along with Vanness's concert to enter. MUCH TV's MUCH GAME yesterday have their scene shoot at HINET 2002 Games Competition and even invited Ken to have a game of Counter Strike. In the end, Ken's group won the opponent's group. Ken revealed that it had been a long time since he played CS and because of this invitation, he even went to train himself as not to embarrass himself. Ken has lots of experience in playing games, before he become F4 member, he loved to play games and can even go without sleeps for 2 days. Ken continued, "Last year when we were shooting Meteor Garden, during the free time, Zaizai, Vanness and I will go for a game at the nearby online game cafe to play CS. However this year, we become very busy and we have no time to play." During the game, though Ken had forget lots of his techniques but he still managed to win the opponents' group and the place even attracted lots of fans to cheer for Ken. - Lian He Bao[10/08/02]
Vanness, for his wild dance and sexy voice totally attracted all the fans and fans' over-whelming response make Vanness very touched. F3 even appeared at the concert to show their supports for Vanness. Being the first F4 member to open his own concert, Vanness felt very stressful. He practised very hard just for the concert yesterday and the fans consists of people from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and LA. Vanness's mother, brother and sister also came to support him. While singing, Wo Tao Yan Wo Zi Ji, Vanness even took off his clothes and during the song sick, Vanness even danced a puppet dance which is very difficult. When the performance is coming to an end, F3 suddenly appeared on stage which cause all the fans to scream excitedly. Vanness teasingly said, "Wow! You all so famous, I think i get down from the stage better!" However he still hugged Jerry and Ken and skipped Zaizai deliberately. Zaizai jokingly said, "Don't friend you already!" Vanness immediately wipe all his sweats on Zaizai, making all the fans to burst out laughing. F4 began to sing "My Friend" to show how good is their friendship. Since Vanness did not prepared his Encore song, when the concert ended, all the fans refused to leave and in the end Vanness appeared on the stage and started singing without any music.
