STRONG WIND-era

RIOGANG-era

Review by Ricardo Franzin at Rock Brigade
The lack of the information in the release of the band is total, but, by the look of things, apparently this CD-demo, called The Lost And Found Demos 1995 - 2001, it's a compilation of Eyezofire, group headed by a certainly Marcelo Tex. (Good) guitarist, bassist and fortuitous vocalist, Tex must be of those men that would sell his mother for dying, to reincarnate and, now to be born in Los Angeles at the start and/or middle of the 80s. Because everything that's listened to here sends to glam hard rock that been turned rocker visit card at that time and city. Poison, Warrant, Ratt and bands of same genre are, no doubt, among the great inspirations of Tex, but unfortunately, it's not enough to make of this one a rewarded audition. In the first place, because what you listen it's very, very cliché music, in the second place, because the resonant quality is pretty far from being praise-able and we are before a genre that definitely don't may to be rough. From then that to enjoy it, listener have to be very, but very fanatical for pop metal made by American musicians with strange hairs from twenty years ago. In that hurt the cover song for Love Hurts have stay even acceptable.

EYEZOFIRE
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Marcio Tex is a regular visitor to HTR-ONLINE.
He hails from the tropical climes of Rio De Janeiro. No 'Girl From Ipanema' with Marcio’s outfit Eyezofire, who are playing a groovy style of melodic hard rock, with more than a trace to the 90’s scene, a la Firehouse, Winger, Tyketto and the mighty Danger Danger. Eyezofire have a few MP3’s available, but the good word is, a new album is forthcoming. Isn't that right Marcio?
Anyway, you can check out Eyezofire over at MP3.COM/eyezofire, or direct at: eyezofire.cjb.net

Review by Ricardo Campos at Roadie Crew
The experienced guitar player from Rio, Marcio Tex's always a faithful follower of Hard Rock/AOR, playing in bands like Strong Wind and Riogang and, as any musician of that genre, suffering all the malefactions brought by Grunge Rock.

Currently, after he's left the band Riogang, Tex's coming back to work joining six of his better songs, beyond a version for Nazareth's classic song Love Hurts - Nazareth classic song - and releasing them in this Demo stuff of his new band Eyezofire. With the support of John Cassio (guitar), Marcos Hermes and Marcus Vinícius (drums), Johannes Paul Busch and Milton Carlos (bass), Luís Costa, Luciano de Castro and Luciano Lauar (keyboards), beyond Osemar Xavier (harmonic), Tex does from The Lost & Found Demos a notable stuff for everyone Hard/Heavy/AOR fan, under influence of Tyketto, Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force, Dokken, Danger Danger, Journey and much others, beyond some pinches of Saxon and Judas Priest, pricipally by the riffs of guitar. It's impressive how all is well performed, demonstrating Tex' special care with each details of the album.

Despite all the tracks are excellents, I point to emphasizes Rio By Night, Don't Give Up (remembering that Saxon's classic 747 (Strangers In The Night) about initial riffs and phrases of the guitar), the ballad "Too Hard To Hear You Say Goodbye and the version for Love Hurts. And there's one more details: if you let the CD playing after the last track you'll find a hidden track, a version for Queen's We Will Rock You, with a new clothes totally Melodic Rock.

Don't give to get this exceptional material of a talented musician with this new band!
