Hi Cougar Rugby,
Our club is looking for any players that might like to come play in the US - Boulder Colorado is one of the most beautiful places in the US and our rugby team can help out with jobs, places to live etc.
Please send this out to any/all who might be interested in coming to the US for a while.

Thanks,
Jason

Next Saturday (13th July) we will be having our Jug session at the Panmure Tavern. Support the pub, then head back to the Varsity club rooms for the first test against Aussie.

All the boys should attend and note that all our supporters are welcome.

Should be a good night!!

Note: Next week we'll email the details about who the Cougars are playing, where and when. A kick-off time for the All Blacks versus Australia game will also be given.

This week's after-match drinks and Court Session will be held at the Panmure Sport's Bar.

I heard the devastating news while visiting family in Australia. Word travels fast about someone who is loved so much. Doigie is the kind of person that you are happy to know. A genuine person who is always smiling and making others smile.

Marcus, you will be greatly missed by all who knew you.

Note: The Cougar's Roadtrip has been postponed until further notice

With the possibility of three wins early in the 2002 season, the Cougars can take a well-earned break with their first BYE. Plans are already well underway for a bus tour, leaving Auckland after 5:30pm on Friday the 17th of May, and returning two days later on Sunday evening.

The tour consists of jetboating, zorbing, white-water rafting, luge and quadbiking. Of course the evenings will consist of indulging in the odd beer or two while catching the Super 12 semi-finals and enjoying the nightlife.

Cougars Roadtrip Itinerary:

17/05/2002

- Leave Auckland late enough to suit those 9 to 5ers, but early enough to arrive in Hamilton, get a couple of beers under our belts and catch the Super 12 game.
- 2 on 2 pool competition, standard pub rules.

18/05/2002

- In the morning, the Cougars will head off for a spot of Jetboating down the Waikato river, followed by Zorbing (rolling down a big-ass hill inside a large, inflatable ball).
- The tour will then leave Hamilton for Rotorua, where they'll hit the rapids for more inflatable fun. This time white-water rafting.
- To overcome any frostbite that may have set in, the team will stop in at the thermal pools to thaw.
- Once again, the evening will be played-by-beer.

19/05/2002

- Sunday morning will see the Cougars hit the slopes for some downhill madness at the Rotorua luge.
- Following the luge, they'll pick up the pace a little with quadbiking through a nearby forest.
- The bus tour will head back to Auckland at a time that suits.

(Other plans can be made for those with other events in mind.)

Cougars, please
email to RSVP for the roadtrip so we can calculate numbers, costs, and details. (Note: The higher the number of Cougars, the lower the cost per person.)

We'll notify you with the costs when they become available.
