A/N: I have no creativity when it comes to making up demonic names so I've been reduced to going through my Latin dictionary so don't try to make sense of the names, they actually mean stuff but I don't know what.  Spike's story is in Italics

Chapter Two: How it Started

"Buffy, I've got good news and bad news, which would you rather hear first?" Giles stated as he walked into the room cleaning his glasses.

"Umm, bad news," Buffy rplied looking up from the large tome that was lying in front of her with a slight frown.

"It's the end of the world.  As for the god news, it can be diverted."

"Yay for me," Buffy exclaimed sarcastically easily slipping into Slayer mode, "So how do I stop this?"

"There's a fluctifragus demon, he is going to try to open the HellMouth."

"So the Buffster got to slay, that's easy enough.  She'll slay then we'll party at the Bronze," Xander said speaking up as he put his arms behind his head.

"Sounds cool, just point me to this demon," Buffy said standing.

"I suggest you t..take Spike to assist you.  Faith is busy at the moment and is unable to assist," Giles stuttered.

"Why does the Buff need to take Deadboy Jr?  I'm sure she can handle one demon; you know she'll pound him the slice the head off, to to difficult," Xander comented even though he and Spike got along pretty decently that didn't mean he could resist poking fun at the blonde vampire.

"Yeah why do I have to take fang face?"

Pinching the bridge of his nose Giles explained, "This is not an ordinary demon, this demon is armed with a sword, axe and some sort of mystical property that I have yet to translate.  There are two heads that are capable of independently thinking if you take the head saying the spell the other head will take its place."

"So I pretty much got to take all the heads off.  Sounds easy enough, but I'll go get Spike," standing to leave Buffy turned at the last moment and asked Giles, "Umm, where do I find this demon?"

"The old high school."

"Thanks," with that she turned and went out of the Magic Box.

"Spike?  Hello are ya here?" Buffy yelled as she slammed through the door of the townhouse which was always unlocked when he was home.

"Bloody 'ell, Slayer! Just barge right in," Spike shouted down from the upper floor, "Why are you here?" he asked coming down the stairs.

"As much as I hate to ask, I need your help," Buffy sighed extravagantly.

Smirking Spike popped down over the railing , "My help with what, Luv?"

Shaking her head, she placed her hands on her hips scowling, "End of the world, got to kill an ugly stupid demon, not unlike yourself, well maybe he's twice as stupid but you know the usual," she grinned.

"What makes you think I want to help you save the world?  Maybe I want the world to end."  he teased good naturely.

"Shut up, you don't want the world to end other wise you wouldn't have helped against the Mayor or Angelus-" Buffy stopped and looked down, sadden at the thought.

"Wait, stop.  I don't care about the before.  I want to know the when you turned her," Angel interrupted shaking his head.

"Sod off, either you want to hear it or not," Spike snapped.

"Spike, just tell him.  I wanna go home," Buffy whined snuggling down into his shoulder more.

Smiling down at her lovingly, Spike placed his arm around her shoulder and cooed, "Ok, pet," then looking at his sire, he muttered, "She convinced me to help 'er."
