| Disclaimer: I don't own anything but the story, Buffy, the Scoobies, Spike and the Poof all belong to that great man that we call god, Joss Whedon. Rating: R. Adult Situations and Language Summary: New changes take place within the Scooby Gang. There is an apocalyse on the way, the Poof is needed. The gang works together to prevent the end while relationships begin. Pairings: B/S, W/O, F/X and C/A Author's Note: Forgive if I don't write Spike completely right, I love the bloke to death, but I'm not British and therefore have limited access to the accent. But I'll be trying my damnist. Author's Side Note: Here are the following changes to SeasonThree: Faith never killed anyone nor did she go evil. Angel left after Spike came and pointed out that he and Buffy could never be just friends. Spike had returned because Drusilla left him; he in turn kidnapped Willow and Xander to do a love spell. When Trick's vampires that were meant to attack Spike attacked Buffy, Spike realized that he loved her so he stayed. He was an outcast of the group until the whole Mayor thing happened at graduation. Because he fought beside her, he was accepted. Cordelia went to L.A. to explore her acting career where she then hooked up with Angel and his gang. (BTW, I don't watch A:TS so therefore I do not know if this is how it truely happened.) *** Prologue Creeping silently the dark duo entered the gloomy warehouse. The prophecy had said, One who wants but cannot have, yearns but cannot take, shall be the salvation of the two dark ones, one former of the light, one on a search for forgivness. When the mouth opens the One will sacrifice himself to save the dark ones; so here they were searching the warehouse where the locater spell had said the One would be; they wanted to find him and see if he knew who the dark ones were. Whispering the blond man asked, "Luv, do you see anyone?" "No," a woman replied scanning the area as the man crouched behind crates allowing the woman to do her job without distraction and as backup if needed, suddenly the room was filled with lights. "You're here. I've been waiting for you. The Power's That Be said that I was to come and meet a kindred and help him with his troubles," the dark headed man called not seeing the other man. Surprised the woman murmured, "Angel?" Angel was surprised, he hadn't gotten a good look at the woman that came in but knew she was the one the PTB said would be coming, he walked toward her calling reverently, "Buffy? Your alive, but I heard that your were dead," still in shock he looked her up and down taking in her black leather coat, leather pant, long blonde hair that delicately grazed her hips and then he extended his senses to listen to her familiar heart beat that he loved, when he didn't hear it he sneered, "Your not Buffy, your a vampire," a stake materialised in his had. Backing away in fear and surprise Buffy raised her hands to show innocence, "Angel stop. It's me Buffy, just Buffy." Angel scoffed, "Yeah and I'm human, your're a demon, nothing more, nothing less. How am I supposed to help you, you a demon?" Angel was in wonder, he had no idea why the PTB would send a vampire Buffy for him to help, unless he was suppose to stake her. Haing heard enough and could feel the fear and sadness just rolling off his childe the man stood and exclaimed, "Shut you bloody hole, Peaches!" With another stake appearing in his hand Angel growled, "Spike, I'm guessing you the one who did this to her?" Suppressing a smirk because he didn't want to anger the Slayer on top of her fear, "I bloody well did, saved her life oo." "You didn't save her life, you ended it. Bagged a third slayer, turned Buffy into what she hated most." Angel spat out of contempt. Spike turned to Buffy, to see if he got the go ahead. The slight nod of her head allowed him to start, "She's not a bloody demon, well she is but she's got her soul. See you poof she's just like you." "Ok, so she's got her sould and she also has a life of unfulfilled happiness," Angel replied acting as though Buffy wasn't even standing there. Shaking his head, Spike continued, "Red fixed the spell and to the Slayer's request added an attachment that comes in handy." Shaken at the news of a permanent soul Angel vaguely understood the next comment, he dumbly said, "Willow altered the spell. What kind of an attachment?" Calmed a bit because of her anger that Angel was acting as though she weren't there, she explained as she stepped forward, "When Willow made my soul permanent she added a spell of Human Essence." "Human Essence?" She nodded, she then dropped the shield that blocked the spell; her heartbeat filled the room. Taken aback at the sound of a heartbeat Angel gasped, "What the hell?" he exclaimed when he heard a second heartbeat, he turned to Spike, "You've got her soul too?" Looking disgusted Spike growled, "No, I do not have my bloody soul. Just the spell." "What does the spell entail?" Silent yet again because Angel still pointed the stake at her distrustfully, she just let Spike do the talking, "The spell will allow the vampire to live like a human," Spike smirked at the awestruck look on Angel's face, "Yep Peaches, we get to live in the light." "I get the spell, but I still want to know, why are you a vampire?" Angel asked Buffy directly for the first time. Looking at Spike Buffy said, "You tell him," she paused and added quietly, "Please." Unable to refuse his childe and love of anything he nodded, "Well Peaches grab a crate; this is going to take awhile." Spike climbed up on a crate while Angel pocketed the stakes for the first time since they arrived and sat on one across from him, Buffy climbed up with Spike. Taking is hand, Buffy laid her head on his shoulder, Spike knew she was upset about seeing Angel, armed and ready to take her out, and that she wanted the comfort and security of being with her sire, so he comforted, "Its ok childe, your safe and fine." "I know sire," she whispered back. Angel watched as Spike comforted Buffy, awed at the love that shown through Spike's eyes. Slightly jealous Angel cleared his throat, "The story." Turning to his sire Spike scowled, "Fine," A/N: What did you think? Review. :) |
